Dedicated to all women
From the age of 3
I held my first child
It wasn't living
But I fed and named it
I cared for it with all my might
It may have been just a doll
But it never let me to dull
I didn't have to be a mother
To be a motherAs a growing child
I held my younger ones
They turned my life into a temple run
While Keeping them away from harm
And I loved them so much in return
I may have been just 9
But to them I was a knight
I didn't have to be a mother
To be a motherTeenage life wasn't far
School became a priority
I became a mother to a few
A few whom I looked out for
They called me School mother
And I hugged and loved them
Calling them School daughters
I didn't have to be a mother
To be a motherBeing an Adult
Profession was a necessity
As my case in play
To be a doctor is what I pray
To meet, hold and cure all type of kids
And To watch and feel
The joy the mothers express
I don't have to be a mother
To be a motherSome have kids within a year of marriage
Some within a few more
Some never
So I ask you this questionWhy are you depressed oh woman?
Why are you?
Is it because of children?
Is it?Haven't you been a mother since the age of 3?
So what if you never bore yours
Trust me,
You have always been a mother
You still could be to those who lost theirsSo once again I say
You don't have to be a mother
To be a mother- MVS
