   Dear Ashton

In your final days you were loved. You weren't coherent enough to know that, but you were. The universe changed when you passed. Suddenly there were no more stars and it was dark and gloomy. I looked and looked for you in the sky and you were hiding from me. Until your birthday. Finally a week and a day after you passed, finally when you were 16, I saw you. and you were bright. You're one of the brightest ones the eye can see, and I am glad. Because that means I can always tell where you are.

Your funeral was big. Most of your school showed up at the cemetery.  A lot of people didn't even look like they knew why, but they were still there. Your friends were there too, Brit and Theresa and Zoe. Mom and dad were there too. Mom went into labor on your birthday. She had a little boy. They called him Deacon.

Nikolei was there too. Be proud of me sis, because it took everything in me, not to punch the living shit out of him. He looked sad. He came up to me and apologized. I didn't accept it. I told him that he missed his opportunity. He shouldn't apologize to me, he should've apologized to you when he had the chance, and he didn't, and he should forever regret that. You were a great person and he never, even for a second, deserved you.

I miss you, and I will for a long time. I want you to know that I am okay, and free now. I moved out, and everything is okay, and I am happy. And I hope that, where ever you are. You are happy too.

I love you Ashton.
