Aliyah is now a 17 year old girl with short black hair that barely reached below her shoulders accompanied by glowing green eyes that are just full of sorrow. Just a few months ago, Aliyah's father died and she was taking it pretty bad. Locking herself in her room and not eating at times. I'm worried for her. I want her to be happy again, but everything I have tried just doesn't work! I don't know what to do anymore other than just wait this out, but I'm afraid she will starve herself to death if I don't act fast. I just don't know what to do though. She has no mother, and her father just died of a heart attack. 'I think I will just cuddle with her.' I think to myself as I head to her room. I silently fly into her room and land on her bed in the exact spot I first fell asleep on. I lay down next to her and soon feel her hand graze over my wings and back. "At least I still have you Reegan." I heard her speak, her voice horse from crying and her eyes red and puffy. I squawk in reply and find myself slowly falling asleep with Aliyah shortly after. 'Maybe she will feel better when she wakes up.' I thought hopefully before I fell into a dreamless sleep

I woke up next to Reegan. He was still asleep, and I was getting hungry. Yes I was still sad, but I still do need to eat. I carefully got out of my bed and went downstairs into my kitchen. I looked in my fridge to find absolutely nothing to eat. "Just great!" I huffed out. Now I have to go to the store. I grabbed my bag full of my stuff and put on my shoes. I was about to walk out the door when I heard squawking from behind me. I turned around to face Reegan and said "I will be right back Reegan. I'm just going to get food." I turned around and walked out the door to my car.

When I got to the store, I was in such a hurry to get my things and leave that I didn't see that I was about to crash into somebody.
"OOF!" I screamed as I fell to the ground and at the same time I heard a loud gasp. "Are you okay miss?!" I heard a male voice ask. I looked up and sure enough, there stood a tall boy with brown hair with matching hazel eyes staring back into mine. I could feel my cheeks heating up in embarrassment. "Y-Yes I'm fine. Thank you." I said in a rushed tone as I grabbed his outstretched hand and pulled myself up. "S-Sorry about t-that." I said still able to feel my glowing red face. "It's fine miss...?"
"Aliyah! My name is Aliyah." I tried to speak calm. Hence the word 'tried'.  "My name is Josh. See ya around Aliyah." The boy I now know as Josh said as he walked away. I quickly payed for my stuff, careful not to bump into anyone else, and went home.

Once I got home, I threw all the food into my cabinets and went up into my room. That encounter at the market made me lose my appetite. I couldn't stop thinking about Josh. 'Will I ever see him again?' I thought to myself. Just moments later, I felt Reegan land beside me and heard a small squawk right after. "Well Reegan, today I met a boy." I said before I put my face into my pillow, drifting back into a sleep. Only this time, I was dreaming of Josh.
