chapter 1

Princess Zoey woke up. Today was her 18th birthday, the day she would meet the Man of her dreams because if she didn't she would be be breaking rule number 23.

rule 23.

if a princess is not married before she is crowned, she will not be allowed to take the throne as queen.

she took a dress from her massive closet and threw it on,then she placed her red heels on her feet and finally she tied her hair a bun.

"princess zoey? your parents would like to see you" said a voice outside the door.

"coming!" shouted Zoey as she walked to the door and opened it

"let's go ravs" said zoey as she exited the room

"after you zoey" replied ravs

and they walked to the throne room where zoey's parents were waiting for her arrival.

"hello my darling" said the Queen

"hello mother" said zoey while she bowed "might I ask why I have been requested?" questioned zoey

"well since its your birthday, we have someone for you to meet" answered the king

"who exactly?" questioned zoey again

"come with us my dear" said the Queen as she got up from her throne

and so did the king and the three of them walked to the great hall where people ate their meals and in the middle of the great hall was a blonde boy

"zoey my darling ,meet prince duncan the third" introduced the king

"hello princess zoey" said Duncan while bowing

"hi" said zoey nervously

"she's a very pretty princess sir" said Duncan while turning to the king

"she sure is" paused the king "well I'll let you two get on with it then"

and with that the king and queen left leaving the two on there own. then prince Duncan took his hand out for the princess to hold and zoey took his hand and he led her to the end of the table for them to sit where a mini banquet was set up for them to eat from.

"take a seat ,my lady" said Duncan while pulling a chair out for zoey

"thanks" replied zoey while taking a seat and so did Duncan

"so zoey.....tell me about yourself" said Duncan while pouring a drink

"what would you like to know?" questioned zoey

"I don't know.......Anything" answered Duncan before taking a sip of his beverage

"well I love mushrooms, animals and I want to learn how to fight" finished zoey and then duncan giggled a little while the beverage was still in his mouth

"what's so funny?" questioned the princess

"um nothing, nothing at all" said Duncan

"Ok?" said zoey in confusion

about 2 hours later after they had their meal and had a chat about random things Duncan had to go

"I'm sorry princess but I must go and see my father but I shall see you later this evening" said Duncan while getting up from his seat

"bye Duncan" said zoey while bowing

and then Duncan left the castle leaving zoey alone in the great hall until the king and queen came

"so princess, what do you think of Duncan?" said the king

"he's nice" I said simply

"excellent! you shall marry him next week" said the king excitedly

"but father I'm not attracted to him that way" shouted zoey

"he's nice to you, that's all that matters" said the king

"we only want the best for you honey" said the queen

"fine then" and her parents gave her a big hug

later at night before Duncan's arrival

I stood at the balcony of the castle waiting for Duncan's arrival. about 5 minutes later Duncan came through gate and I waved to him. he waved back but before I left the balcony to see Duncan a shooting star flyed in the sky and me and Duncan's eyes were locked on to it. I keep looking at it thinking it was beautiful but then Duncan looked back up at me and said

"its not a shooting star"
