Narrators POV

Y/N was always an outcast. She was always quiet as a child, she didn't really have friends, at least not any human friends. She was abandoned at the local orphanage when she was only a month old. At night, Y/N would always sneak out of the old building and head to the forest outback. She had found this when she was only six.

When she was eight, she found a tiny waterfall. The kind that you would hear in fairy tales and what-not. The waterfall was a tiny one, only around twenty feet tall, small compared to the gigantic seventy foot trees that surrounded the waterfall. Sitting in front of the sparkling blue waterfall, sat a large pond with a tiny island in the middle that held a ring of trees.

That was her safe haven. It was the place where she could get away from the mean girls at the orphanage, the Head Mistress, and all of reality. All she needed was the peace, quiet, and the animals. The animals were her friends, and still are. One of them was actually the reason for Y/N finding the enchanting waterfall.

On a sunny day, where there was only very few clouds in the sky, she decided to go inside the forest again. At that time, she had memorized most of the forest. While walking down the old, dirt path that she had paraded down a million times, she saw a blue butterfly. The butterfly hovered in the air for a minute, the girl staring at it in aw. The butterfly then flew into her face, stopping right at her nose, making the girl freeze for a second until calming down from shock.

"Oh, hello there!" Y/N exclaimed. The butterfly just stared in response, floating elegantly in the spring air.

The butterfly then started to float off, going back and forth, back and forth.

"Where are you heading off to?" She asked out of curiosity. The blue butterfly slowly flew off. Y/N rushed towards it. It continued to fly off, but at a faster pace. The next thing she knew, she's off the path. Y/n has never gone off of the path before, however, there was just something about the little butterfly, as if she was drawn to it. Her H/L, H/C hair whipped around in the wind. Low branches scrapped her S/C skin, leaves stuck in her hair, she looked like a hot mess.

After a few more minutes of running, she realized that she had lost the blue butterfly.

"What? Blue Butterfly? Where did you go?" She yelled panicked. Y/N can't help but cry, she didn't know where she was, and it's not like she can call anyone. Plus, nobody knows where she is. They probably wouldn't care anyways.

Nobody liked her, she didn't know why either. They would always pick on her. The Head Mistress never intervened, even when she was getting physically beaten by the other kids. She would just smile and stare. Y/N didn't ever disobeyed, she never lied, she never did anything wrong. Heck, she didn't even do anything to them! 'Maybe...maybe it's for the better. I can just drop off the face of the earth' She thinks.
