I walked out the door and it slams behind me. "C'mon mom!! Hurry!" She comes out the door and

Is walking fast to the car. As we are driving she is asking me questions... Like always. My mom is

so nosey. She thinks she has to know everything. She asked me "do you think you're gonna

make new friends?" "Noooooooo I'm just gonna be a loner" I say in my head. "Yep" I say.

"Well that's good.." She looks at me as she wants to ask something else. She just keeps

looking at me. "Can you stop mom?" I say to her. She looks away. "Thank you." I turn to

look out the window, and then I see it, my new school. I open the car door and step out.

All I see is a group of nerds and a group of preps. Just great, I'm not gonna fit in at all.

"Have a good day beautiful" my mom tells me as I slowly walk closer to the entrance.

As I am walking all I feel is eyes staring at me, luckily no one is looking. I keep on walking when

a girl walks up to me. "Hey!" The girl says. "Uhh, hi.." I say back trying to be polite. "My name is

Kayle.." "Hi kayle." "Soo uhh, what's your name?" "My name is Afton" "oh nice to meet you

Afton" she tries grabbing for my hand, I hesitate. She looks at me awkwardly and walks away.

"Oh Afton, if you need anything I'm here." "Okay thanks." Since I don't know where to go I

just follow her. She seems nice. Maybe I should ask her to hangout sometime. "Hey uhh Kayle..

do you maybe wanna hangout after school today? "Sure!! But I was gonna hangout with my

friend delilah today.." "She can hangout with us too.. If you would like?" "Sure! Sounds great"

"Okay meet me in the commons? "Sure!" We both walk through the doors and I was in shock.

This school is huge! It's even bigger than East Wendall. It's like 2x bigger! I feel like I'm going

to get lost. As I'm looking around I lose Kayle.. I start to look for her when another girl

walks up to me. "Hey, you must be Afton" she said. "Yeah, and you are?" "Oh right, I'm delilah."

"Oh hey!" "I guess I'm gonna hangout with you and Kayle today" she said. "Yeah." "That's if

you want to?" "Yeah. I want to:) haha" Kayle walks up to us as we are talking. We start talking

about where we want to go. "My house?" I say. "Sure!" Kayle and Delilah both say.

"Hey Kayle.. Can you show me where my classes are?" "Sure thing, let me see your schedule"

I hand her my schedule and she shows me where my classes are. 1,2,3,4, and 5 hour go by

fast.

It's lunch time now and as I'm walking some guy runs right into me. "Watch where your'-" as

he looks up I stop what I'm saying. "I'm so sorry!" He says. "What's you're name" he asks me.

"Uhh, my name is Afton. What's yours?" "Alec" we start to walk to lunch together talking and

all of a sudden he asks "are you single?" I say "yeah. "Oh, me too." Most relationships don't

last in middle school so I'm hoping he doesn't ask me out. "Do you wanna go get something to

eat after school?" I'm hanging out with my friends after school but I don't want to blow him

off. "Sure" I say. I guess he'll just have to come along. "Okay" "meet me in the commons" "okay,

see you around." "Later.." We both laugh and walk opposite ways. When I'm walking into the

cafeteria Kayle comes by me.. We both go and sit down at a table. I never eat lunch and

I guess neither does she. We start talking about stuff to get to know eachother. "Well, I have 2

brothers and one sister. She says. "I have 2 sisters and one brother!!" I say as I'm laughing. We

giggle when Alec sits right next to me. "What are you doing here Alec?" Kayle says acting

disgusted of him. "I'm sitting by my new friend Afton." He said. "What are YOU doing here?" He

asks back. "I'm sitting by MY new best friend." As they keep fighting I just sit there awkwardly.

They were fighting the whole lunch period. *ding ding ding* the bell rang and I got up.

Algebra... I go to my locker and grab my things. When I walk into the classroom I see Alison.

A girl I went to school with in elementary. She was the main bully.....
