Forever Indebted

It was a normal day. I was walking home from school, when I heard stomping. I turned my head to see what the commotion was but it was just a bunch of high school boys. I didn't really care, I wasn't interested in the boys at my school here lately. Plus why would I start a relationship when I'm graduating in a couple months. Then I'd just have to leave and break it off. Unnecessary.

I heard some of the guys yell. I turned back around. This time I realized it wasn't just some idiot guys running down the street. A large group, of maybe 8 guys, we're running after this other guy, freshman by the looks of him, who had only a small lead on them. It was a ducking.

So your probably wondering what a ducking is. Well in my school, when a guy pisses off one of the big groups in school (could be jocks, could be idiot gangs) there is a possible ducking. Where they would catch him and take a razor from underneath his chin around and up to his lips. I hated when those happened, but I continued to watch while walking backwards that way I could run if I had to. The jocks don't duck girls only cause their more interested in sleeping with them and that would majorly lower their chances. However, the gangbangers might depending on their moods. It doesn't really do much except then you'd have to get the rest of your face shaved because it creates an uneven surface for your makeup.

When they finished, the guy looked so disappointed. He had obviously been working on those few chin hairs of his for a while. The gang whooped and hollered in their little group like they were super proud of themselves for doing such an amazingly unbelievable task. Then one of the guys noticed me as I was still walking backwards. He pointed and the other guys noticed.

"Oh, shit." I muttered under my breath. I wasn't a very fast runner. I learned that in 9th P.E.

They started running and so did I. I turned running into the woods, trying to lose them. But I only seemed to be getting slower. "LEAVE ME ALONE!" I screamed at them but they only laughed. I made it a few more yards before one of them caught me. I screamed, still trying to run, but damn, he was strong.

I screamed again, this time yelling help. Nothing happened as the other guys caught up. One of them, the leader obviously, came up to me. "Oh don't scream, we're not gonna hurt you." And he laughed again as they all joined in.

Without any warning, his head jerked  to the side. And I noticed a tiny rock fall to the ground. Was it the guy they had previously ducked? We all turned and it was another group of guys, about the same age as the guys surrounding me, about 5 of them.

I was confused, who were they? "The girl said, leave her alone." I glanced at the guy who spoke and his friends. They were outnumbered. All I could think was they were gonna get beat up and only make things worse for me. I felt a release of pressure. I was hoping to see some guys knocked out. Then one of his guys lunged onto one of the guys who had been holding me down. Was he crazy?

The rest of the two groups fought as I started to walk away. One of the guys from the other group knocked a kid out and stepped away from the fight. I guess I underestimated him.

He walked toward me. As I went to say thank you, he shook his head no. "I saw them run after you, but I didn't know what they  were planning. And my buddies weren't far." I smiled. "Thank you anyways. I don't know what I would have done without you guys." He smiled sheepishly with his busted lip. "Just if you need anymore help, give us a call." He handed me my phone. I must have dropped it a while back.

By this time the whole gang was either knocked out and laying on the ground or running in the opposite direction. His friends were all standing a few yards behind him, obviously waiting. "What will happen to them?" "Oh, they'll be fine. We didnt kill them, so they'll wake up in an hour or two." I smiled saying thank you again and walked home.

Hi guys, I know this first chapter was a little short. Not gonna lie, I wrote this chapter based off of a dream I had a long time ago and it's taken me this long to get back into writing it. I'm going to try to make the chapters longer. I personally like short chapters but I'll try for you guys. Plz leave me lots of comments. If I made any errors, plz call me out in the comments and I will fix 'em.
