~Lacey's POV~

Hand in hand, Ryland and Lacey walked in front of Christian and I to the parking lot outside. I could feel Christian's gaze on me as we walked, but I didn't dare look over at him. Lacey turned around and told me to hurry up, practically beaming. I sped up my pace and moved to her other side which just happened to be right in front of Christian. I made sure to swing my hips a little more as we searched for the car.

When we finally found the fancy sports car, we had to decide who was sitting where. Even though it was apparently Christian's car, he and I would be  sitting in the back. Together.Ryland had insisted on driving because he knew a shortcut there.

Christian tossed the keys to Ryland and he easily caught them in the air. He went to the passenger side and made sure Lily was buckled up before heading over to the driver's side.

I felt Christian come close behind me. "I know she's pretty, but are you going to stand here and look forever?" I felt his warm breath on my ear and I shivered even though it was far from cold out. I had been staring at the car, not knowing how to get in but I was too proud to admit it.

I gestured to the car helplessly. There was no handle on the side of the door like most cars. I didn't know how to get in.

"You're gonna have to bend over baby," I could feek his grin in his voice. "The door swings up."

I stepped closer to the car and bent down, not caring that Christian now had an unobstructed view of my ass. I worked for it, why not show it off? I pulled the door up and brushed Christian, my body still partially bent. I had no doubt that my backside just brushed against him there.

I turned around to face him as the door completely opened. "Oops,"

~Christian's POV~

She was doing it on purpose.

After she practically wiggled her ass in front me as she walked, now she was brushing up against me, teasing. When she had bent over to open the door...

I growled and pushed her into the car. She climbed into the Tesla and buckled in. I stared at her as I buckled my seatbelt and she cocked her head to the side. "Something wrong?" She smirked. I glared at her. "Aw, life's just so hard, huh?" Lily's grin widened.

"I can think of some other things that are hard," I growled at her. Her eyes widened with the implication and quickly narrowed playfully. Sexy little kitten likes to play.

I was about to reach over and grab her hand to show exactly what I meant, but Lacey turned around. Bouncing happily, she looked at her sister and grinned like a maniac. "Lily, Lily, Lily, Lily," Lacey squealed.

"Yes, Peanut?" Lacey blushed at the nickname.

"We're getting ice cream!" Lily exclaimed excitedly. Her energy was almost tangible, her laugh infectious. She was a cute little. I peered over at Ryland and he was smiling as he drove.

"Turn around, baby. We don't wanna get hurt do we?" Ryland asked, turning his gaze to her. Lacey quickly shook her head and sat back down.

I looked to Lacey and saw the longing in her eyes. She wanted what her sister had. Love.

It was a bit of a foreign concept to me. It was an abstract idea, something that sounded good in theory but always went awry in the end. Kind of like equal rights or communism.

I couldn't give Lacey love. I could think of a few other four letter words I could give her but not love. As much as I wanted to get to know the sexy twin that sat beside me, I wasn't interested in anything long term. Long term never worked.

I turned from the window to see Lily studying me. Her eyes were calculating and cold. "See something you like?" I contemplated telling her that she shouldn't expect love when she cocked a groomed eyebrow. "Am I so breathtaking that I've left you speechless?" She grinned widely at me. "Don't fall in love too fast, Christian. I don't want to reject a boy so soon after Austin."

I smirked at her. "I wouldn't trust that I'm the one who will fall first." Oh, how little she knew. Her obliviousness was adorable. She opened her mouth, presumably to respond, when we pulled into the small ice cream shop.

"We're here!" Lacey exclaimed.
