--Elizabeth's Point Of View--

The sun was already streaming through the blinds in my Gold Coast water-front summer condo room when I woke up. I'm an early riser anyway, so I rubbed my eyes and slowly got out of bed. I threw on a hoodie, some sweat capris, tied my hair in a bun then slipped into my runners. I decided I'd go for a morning jog along the beach and check things out.

It was my first night last night here, so I decided waking up early to check things out wouldn't be a bad idea. The air was warm as I stepped out the front door, and the warm sand and ocean was right in front of me. I smiled wide; it was just so beautiful and welcoming, like paradise. I started running up the beach but it was hard taking in the sights running, so I decided to just walk.

Pretty pink, orange and white shells aligned the shore.  Far out on the sparkling blue ocean were sailboats, and some people surfing. Couples walked along the beach for an early romantic date, they must have been enjoying the beautiful sun-rise of orange and yellow.

While I was so busy taking in all of the wonderful sights, I barely noticed where I was walking, and I bumped into someone and nearly knocked him over!

"Oh, I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to bump you there, I was just distracted by the beautiful sights!" Isaid without looking at him. I was so embaressed.

"No, no. It's fine!" he laughed. He was definetly a local. He had the wonderful Aussie accent.

I finally looked up at him, and I was nearly blown away by his beauty.... He had perfect pink lips, golden locks, sparkly aqua eyes, and strong arms and body. He looked about 15. I've just checked out a beautiful sight I thought.  Immediatley I felt self- concious. I was so close to this gorgeous boy and probably looked horrid! My hands flew to fix my hair.

"Umm," I tried to say something but I was just too nervous, I just backed up a bit to give him some space. He giggled.

"Hey, I'm Cody," he smiled and winked at me.

"Elizabeth," I introduced myself and stuck out my hand. He probably thinks I'm super weird, I thought to myself. A random teen wearing sweat pants, no make-up and hand-shaking? What kids shook hands these days? But he shook my hand, then smiled. His arms are strong, I swooned.I didn't have anything else to say, I just stared into his eyes-- they were as sparly and blue as the ocean.

Finally, he broke the silence, "There are beautiful sights here,"  he said without breaking his stare. I pulled your eyes away from his, remembering I looked like a slob. "Are you a tourist?" he asked.

"Well, I'm staying here with a couple of my friends for the summer. We're renting a condo on the beach. It's just down there," I said, pointing towards the waterfront condo.

"Oh, cool. Well I live close, and I'm at the beach almost everyday this summer, so see you around?"

"Yeah!" I waved to him and ran back down the beach to the condo.
