She woke up, only seeing the light above her.
"Is this heaven?"
"No miss, you're still alive."
She gasped as she heard. She faced the direction where the sound came from and stood up.
"What happened? Where's my brother?"
"The two of you were struck by lightning. You're lucky that you survived." The doctor said.
"H-how about my brother?"
"He.. didn't make it. Im sorry.." The doctor said.
"C-can i see him?"
"You can't right now." The doctor said.
He pointed at her wounded feet.
"P-please.."
"We'll try. Miss?" The doctor said.
"Aviona Fournier. But call me Avy."
"Ok Miss Avy, please wait here." The doctor said.
As the doctor step out of the room, she stared at the blank space, thinking of why would this happen to them and other unanswerable questions.
'Why would you take my brother and not me? Why not kill us both? Why..'
Before she knew it, tears were already falling down her cheeks.
