You cuddled up to the body next to yours, this particular one brought you not only comfort, but along on his journey. This man was the right hand man of the yonko red hair Shanks, Benn Beckman. He treated you right and even after a night of binge drinking with the others, dealing with his own hangover, he would take extra special care of you. He would bring you breakfast in bed with all hangover cure foods, he deeply cared for you in more ways than one, though when it came to sex, you both were too drunk to remember the previous night, weather or not it was good, all you both knew is that it was pure love, though neither of you admitted you were in love with each other. You both just knew and left it at that. Though in the coming weeks, it became increasingly difficult for you to eat, so you had slowed down on your drinking, eventually coming to a halt. You would be throwing up every day, Benn was worried you may have ruptured your kidneys from all that dinking. Despite all your refusals, he eventually took you to the crew’s doctor.
After a lengthy examination, the doctor had all the information he needed and called Benn in. Benn took his seat beside you at the infirmary bed and held your hand, “so what’s the news doc?” His hands were shaking, worried for your sake. “She’s fine. She’s. Well. Pregnant.” The doctor reveals. Both of you are taken by surprise by this. Benn gasps and pulls you into a hug, “I-I’m going to be a dad, this is to surreal! I-I’m so happy!” You were quite the opposite, horrified, “Benn I-… I don’t want to be a parent…” You admitted silently. His smile falls, the look on his face turns to horror, “what.. What are you saying..? Q-Quit playing around _____.” You look up at him, tears welling up in your eyes, “I don’t wanna have a baby Benn. I’m not ready. I want to party and drink. I can’t do that if I have a baby.” As Benn watched you horrified, the doctor awkwardly left you both to talk privately. “_______.. I don’t understand… Don’t- Don’t you love me..?” Tears now begun to well up in his eyes, his heart was breaking before your very eyes. You panic and pull him into your arms, you didn’t mean to break such a strong man down.
“I-if I have this baby… Will you still give me all the attention I want..?” You ask shaken by the situation. He smiles and hugs you tighter than he has ever before, “of course. I’ll take care of both you and the baby. I’ll love you both so much. Just please.. Keep the baby…” He begged shaking. “I won’t be able to drink though..” You pout, rubbing his back. “Th-then I won’t drink either. I’ll pamper you. I’ll do anything. Please…” You give in, you hated putting him though all this pain, “okay… I trust you Benn…” After that, throughout your pregnancy, Benn made sure you were always happy and always made sure you were given everything and beyond, he pampered you like a queen, spoiled you. Throughout that time, he made you feel that maybe it wasn’t all that bad to have a baby between you two, it was, after all, life changing. When the time came, Benn made sure that you were comfortable even if you were in the most pain you had ever had in your life.
He made sure you were always loved and taken care of as you pushed out his first born, a son he could call his own. After it was all said and done, the doctor passed the baby to Benn, knowing full well you didn’t want to hold him. Benn’s face lit up, tears running down his face, you had never seen him this happy. He turned to you and kissed your face after wiping away strands of hair and sweat, “thank you. Thank you. Thank you. I can’t say that enough. You’re so perfect. So wonderful.” He praised you endlessly as he held his crying son with his free arm. “Can I hold him?” You ask. He was taken by surprise by this, “a-are you sure?” He asked nervous. “Don’t worry, I won’t bite,” you hum exhausted. He handed you your son and he immediately stopped crying. As you smile down at your son with Benn at your side, you thought that everything was going to be alright.
