The Devil is here

Chapter 1

My shadow is casting upon every wall and the scent of fresh blood is killing me. I look and see nothing but a broken lamp and a run down couch. Suddenly the room shakes and the floor breaks. My head jerks violently and I hit the cold floor. I hear growling and a giant shadow approching. Suddenly I hear my voice but it is like an echo. I wake up to find my mom with a wet cloth on my forehead.

"Darling it happened again your dreams need to settle and only you can control it." She walks out of my room and I get off my bed. My body aches as I get up. I was born with something called Dream Failure which means anything that hurtscre me in a dream will hurt me in real life. I go to the mirror and where I fell on the floor it bruised the whole side of my face. I just sigh and get dressed. After I put a cold rag on my face I walk downstairs to breakfast.

"Darling I made another appointment for the doctor to refill your medicine so after breakfast we will go get them," says mom. I just nod and get a bowl of ceral.

"MOM!!! I can't find me teddy bear," says Kimmi. She is my three year old sister and she is really annoying.

"Go look in dryer."

I strap Kimmi into her car seat and I get in the passenger seat.

"Care if you don't control what you dream about it can kill you."

"Mom I know it is hard."  The reason my mom called me Care is because my real name is Carabelle. Weird name right? We get to the doctors office and Dr. James come out and gives me my medicine to help control my dreams. We went to the back room and he looks at my bruised face while Kimmi reads a book.

"So tell me Care what was your dream about this time," he asked.

"The same thing for the past month. The devil." He looked at me and told me to hold on. He walks to the back room and pulls out a book with the words, DF PROTECTION. He flips through the book and told my mom to come step into the hall with him. I tried to put my face to the door but it hurt to much. Kimmi jumps down from the chair and looks at me,

"Sis what are they talkin about." I bent down beside her,

"Kim I don't know." And I really didn't. After five minutes mom came in and her face was pale white.

"Come on kids it is time to go." We walk out and drive home. In the car I was going to ask what they talked about but I figured I would wait. As we get the house mom told me to put Kimmi for her nap and then come meet her at the table. As I sit down she just looks at me.

"Care, honey what me and Dr. James were talking about was a surgery called DF Protection."

"OK what is it."

"Well the good news is you shouldn't have that dream anymore, but the thing is you will go into a room and they will put you to sleep where you can't wake up until the dream is over."

"Really that is great."

"The thing is the dream you are having can kill you while you are dreaming."

Chapter 2

It has been over 2 weeks and tomorrow I have my surgery. My mom is so worried that this will be the end of me. Today Terri and Trixi are coming over, they are my best friends. My swelling of my brusie has gone down but the last dream my leg got ripped open by glass. KNOCK KNOCK finally Terri and Trixi were here. They know about my illness and they are always worried about me to, especially about the surgery.

"Hey," says Terri. We go to my room and we talke about the new boy Charlie.

"Did you see him. I didnt know hair can get that blonde." Trixi is in LOVE with Charlie they have 3rd peorid together but Charlie likes Tiffany Seam.

"I know blonde hair and baby blue eyes are a perfect match," added Terri. 

After an hour they had to go home and I had to eat dinner. We had my favorirte . Fried potatoes,candy carrots and barbeque chicken.

"Mom you didn't have to do all this," I said as I sit down.

"Well you may......leave and I want it to be special." I could hear her getting chocked up.

"Food! I wants me some foods,"says Kimmi as she runs in the kitchen. I pick her up and put her in her high chair beside mom.

"Let's lray ." said mom. She must be really upset because we never pray. I mean EVER. We all hold hands and bow our heads.

"Dear lord the sun is shining and the skies are blue but down upon my heart it has a raging storm killing me inside," mom starts to cry but she continues,"Lord I pray keep my baby safe through her dream tomorrow in Jesus name I pray amen." After dinner I take a warm bath and relaxe because I am scared myself of this "surgery" but I have to stay strong for mom.

Chapter 3

The next morning I don't bother getting dressed nice because I will be put into a hospital gown. I can't remember what I dreamed about last night but their is a scar above my eye. We stop by Nanas house to drop off Kimmi. Mom didn't think it was a good idea to take her with us. When we get to the hospital they put me in a gown until Dr. James came in to explain what will happen.

"OK so Care will be under a 24 hour watch and will also have a heart rate monitor to make sure she will be safe." The funny thing is he says this all with a happy smile. Later another doctor walks in and he had bright red hair.

"Hello I am Dr. Rogers and I will be the one watching and controlling your heart rate. Are you ready?" I knew I had no choice so I just nodded my head yes and I was rolled into a room with a bunch of doctors. One girl with blonde hair walked up to me and said,

"Hello I am nurse Dema I will help Dr. Rogers." She brought over a mask and a needle and put a mask over my mouth then put the needle in my arm. Well it looks like I am ready for the surgery.

Chapter 4

I am still in the room with the cold floors and the loud stomping. The stomping gets closer the floor shakes more and more and I fall. I look down and see my leg has been cut open by a sharp metal. I grab a sock next to me and wrap it around my leg. I suddenly hear growling and look up and see black horns. The devil is here! He picks me up and throws me I break the wall and land outside. I try to run but I am strapped down by wires. I bite them in half and run until suddenly fences wrap around me. The devil seems to be running faster and is now at the cage. He breathes and catches it on fire then he disappears and the cage falls and I go down with it I try to figure out how to get the fire out but I can't breath as the smoke fills my lungs. I have to get out of this cage. I am burnt and my lungs are filled with smoke. I see the cage key and unlock the cage and run until I fall on the ground trying to catch my breath. I am dizzy and lose focus then my heart stops beating. I am in my house and everything is hazy. I was happy to be home but this wasn't home I have been here before. Wait... this is when I was rushed to the hospital I am dying! I can image a picture of the doctors going crazy. I try to open the door but I see nothing but light. I was dying and quick. I didn't know what to do until my lungs fill with a sudden breath of air. I was OK.

Chapter 5

When I wake I see my mom and I try to speak but I cant. I have a breathing tube down my throat. I look at my arms and they are burnt from the fire. My moms eyes are filled with tears and I guess Nana drove Kimmi down here because she was there in moms lap crying. I was so tired and I fell asleep. The surgery because I was dreaming of when Kimmi was born I was 9 when she was born. I also am having dreams of winning my first beauty pageant I won. It was another 2 hours before we were able to go home only because the doctors wanted to see if the surgery worked. As I walked out into the loby and saw my whole family. My three cousins Brea,Jessika,and Chloe. They were all sisters. Then I also saw Jessie boyfriend Austin. They all hugged me and we went home.
