"Beep! Beep! Beep!" my alarm screams.
"Ugh, another day to face." I thought. I slipped out of bed and sluggishly started my day. I washed off the dried up tears from yesterday. Many thoughts flashed my mind. Yesterday.
Josh.
It played repeatedly, back and forth like a cycle.
"Jocelyn, you're going to be late for school!" my mom yelled. I looked at the time. 7:15 am. (School starts at 7:30) It's not like I even wanted to go to school. The same thing happens everyday. People gossip about me, call me names, whatever. But, my mom will make me go to school because she doesn't know what's happening.
I want to sit down and talk about it, but she never has time for anyone, except for Kyle, her boyfriend. Whenever I try and talk to her, Kyle starts to talk about their next date. Then, he turns to me and smirks.
Mom always says he just smiles at everyone, but I'm not stupid.
*At school*
I walked into the school, knowing what's going to happen.
"Hey guys, look, it's the loser!"
"Ugly!"
"Stupid!"
"No one wants you here! Get out!"
People talked. People stared.
The attention was burning into me. My skin, I wanted to leave, but I couldn't. I wanted to move, but my feet were stiff. I didn't know what to do, so I just chose the option my brain said to do. I turned around and ran out the door crying. Why am I their target? What did I ever do to them? I didn't understand. In the football field, I sat on the bleachers. My head was pounding, my heart is aching. It's shattered, but tries so hard to beat that it hurts. Everything hurts. I just want to lie down, close my eyes and go to sleep forever, at least I hope.
