Perfect homegirl

Im gonna be late if I don't cook fast.after making my quick breakfast I quickly grab my stuff  for work and head towards the door
As I open the door the knob falls off .
I sigh."daddy".
I walk out the door and see daddy working on another one of his projects.
"Hey daddy".
"Hey babygirl"
"Promise me anything you don't know how to fix,you'll leave it for a handyman."I say as I laugh.
"Leslie I got this.you worry about getting to work on time.have fun on your date tonight".
"I will"
Later that day.
After a long day I head to the break room to start getting ready for my date.
Just as I'm about to leave someone walks in.
"Hey girl".
"What Time is your date"?
I laugh.leave it up to your best friend to get all up in your love life.
"8:00"
"Oh.what you gonna wear"?
They both look at each other before saying in unison.
"Black".
I laugh before grabbing my bag.
"See you tomorrow".
I get in my car and drive down to the restaurant where I'm supposed to be meeting some guy named mark.as I pull up to the valle I wait while some guy just stares at me.
I sigh in frustration."can I get some help over here"
Nothing.
"Hello".
Finally someone comes to open my door and not by surprise seeing as though I have a dent in my door he has a hard time getting it open.
I can't help but laugh."just give it a little pull".
"One,two,three."I say before helping him open it.
He tugs a little harder before managing to open it and fall flat on his back.
I cringe."sorry".i say before getting out and adjusting my knee length off the shoulder black dress.
"Sorry about that.take care of her now".
I walk into the somewhat fancy restaurant trying to scope out my mystery date.before long I see a tall black guy standing at the bar looking like he's waiting for someone.
"Hello Denzel".i say to myself before making my way over to him.as I get closer I tap his shoulder to get his attention.
"Mark"?
He turns around and smiles."Leslie"?
He has a nice smile."yes"
"Nice to meet you".he says as he holds out his arm for me to take.
"You too.thank you"
"Shall we"
He was a gentleman to."yeah sure".
We're having a good time and surprisingly getting along when he offers me more wine.
"Thank you"
I'm contemplating whether I should ask my next question not wanting to be to forward.
"So what about kids".im gonna regret that.
He gives me a cocky smile."as many as we can have"
I smile.this guy is something else."wow".
He laughs."at least 2 or three kids".

After dinner we walk outside and wait for our cars.
"Hey maybe we should catch a movie sometime or better yet a nets game".
He sighs."look I had...such a great time.and any man that gets you is gonna be beyond lucky...its just I just gotta a very long relationship..so um my feelings are still a little raw
I roll my eyes.like I haven't heard this one before ."and your not emotionally ready".
His eyes light up."yes I am so happy you get it".

After that awkward date I head inside.when I go in I'm not surprised to see Morgan wide awake.
"Girl what u doing now."
"I'm glad u asked.ok so I'm almost 30 and I need to get up out of here.
Morgan is my god sister.my parents took her in when I was 9 after her mom died. Her dad was never around and she didn't really have any family.so she came to live with us and has been apart of the family ever since.
"Oookay well good luck with that...I'll see you in the morning".
"Your still going to the game right Lesley "?
"Of course...I'm not missin my team woop butt for nothin".
