CYRUS'S POV:
I was just sitting down alone at The Spoon, feeling depressed. I kept on asking myself, "Why am I feeling like this? Is something bothering me?" And apparently, something IS kind of bothering me lately. And it's about having feelings on someone. And that "someone" is Jonah Beck.Then, when Buffy came in to The Spoon (which was in the wrong time, apparently), she saw me looking all sad and lonely. So she asked me, "Are you okay?"
I shook my head 'no' and she asked me, "is something wrong?"
I hesitated for a moment if I wanted to tell the truth. But, I think I did the right thing, which was to say, "Buffy... When, sometimes, I see Andi and Jonah together, I feel kind of jealous."
"How come?" She replied.
I raised both my shoulders telling her 'I don't know' and that just made the conversation more unexpected for her.
"Cyrus, do you like Andi?" She asked me. And by the time she released those words, I didn't know what to say.Out of nowhere, my head shook 'no', letting her know that Jonah Beck was the one that I liked, not Andi. My lips were starting to quiver and a single tear almost dropped.
"... You like Jonah," She said. I started tearing up even more. I was speechless. It took me ten seconds just to nod my head 'yes'. Then, there was a moment of silence.
"Buffy... I-I feel weird," I said. Following up with the word, "Different."
"Cyrus, you've always been weird, buy you're no different," Buffy said. Those words were the words that I needed to hear all day.
"Thank you, Buffy," I said.
"I'm glad I told you."
"Me too."
"This is really a bad timing. I just got a girlfriend," I replied back. That made her laugh, which made me laugh also.
After the, what I'd like to assume was 'weird confession', we decided to order the baby taters and the chocolate flavored milkshakes. Then we chatted for more than an hour until this hot guy with the hazel-green eyes came into the restaurant.
It was Jonah.
I don't know why, but it just makes me excited, and at the same time, nervous, whenever I see that Jonah is beside me, close to me, or in the same building with me. When he saw us, he immediately walked over to our table and Buffy whispered, "relax, you'll be okay." And without knowing it, he sat right next to me.
"Hey, Cy-guy!" He said.
"Hey, Jonah!" I replied. Then I felt like my cheeks are starting to blush.
"Hey, um, your cheeks are starting to get somewhat reddish," Jonah noticed. Oh. My. God. Jonah noticed that I'm blushing. HE NOTICED THAT I'M BLUSHING! I'm freaking out right now!!! I don't know what to do!
So instead, I just decided to play it off cool and let things flow the way they're supposed to flow. "Um, maybe it's because of the sun that was directly in front of me. We've been sitting in this table for a while."
"Oh, I see," he said.
All of a sudden, Buffy said, "Oh! I just remembered that me and Andi are going to the Flea Market today to grab some extra stuff! I'm sorry guys, but um, I gotta go. Bye!"
Why did she have to go? Was it intentional? Just for me and Jonah to talk a little bit more?
"Okay, bye," Jonah said.
"Bye," I also said.
~~~~~~~~
Once she left, I felt awkward. So did Jonah. I could see it by his face.
"So, um, how's life?" I said, as that's the only sentence that I could think of to say right now.
"It's been fine," he said. Then, he also said, "Look. Um, can we leave now? And go to your house? I have to tell you something that I can't tell you in places like this," he said.
So, we did exactly what he said, and we went to my house.
That's when I realized that I was going to have some alone time with Jonah.
