Chapter 1; The Normal

No...NO! I cant.. Not now. If i do, i won't be able to stop.. I felt heat trickle through my body, overheating my CPU. Warnings flashed across my eyes. Yea, we get it. My mind kept racing, tears built up in my eyes, as a lump formed in my throat, blocking me from screaming. Just gotta finish... Okie last command.. My eyes flickered, turning a bright blue, forcing a gasp to fly out of my mouth, as i arched my back in pain. Ding 'Download Complete... Updating now...'. My personal AI's voice rang through my head, making me sigh with relief. I opened my eyes, my face reflecting back at me. Cords peered out of my antennas, that drilled inside my skull, connecting to my brain. Ahhhh, finally, the update to change my eye color is over. Damn that one hurt. I slowly got up from the CyberFrame, a piece of metal with updates and resets, that plugs into your antennas. "Rebecca, what's on the latest newsfeed?" I asked. "Empire's search for Julius Reed, is still ongoing, whilst updates for rectal scanners will soon be released on the date of July 14th, 8023" chirped my AI. "Thank you Rebecca." I praised. "You're very welcome, User.". I always thought that my AI was special.. Hmmm.. Maybe I can pl- DING! A warning flashed in my eyes, startling me. What...A backdoor..? Oh. Someone was hacking my mainframe! I quickly threw up my firewall, and started to decode the infected software. A skull logo appeared, making me gasp. This..this..is..the famous hack group.. I immediately unhinged myself from the CyberFrame,  falling to my knees, panicking. No...No no no no! Why now? Do they wanna steal my identity?! Well, I'll steal theirs! I worked a smirk, standing back up. I cracked my knuckles, and got to work. I created my own backdoor, allowing me access into their personal data. So much data.. i can take it all... I smiled at this, pleased. Taking my chance, i start to reach for the files, when a certain one catches my eye. The file was name 'The Empire' What..? I take it, and exit out of the backdoor. I clicked into my firewall, making sure it was still up, and i drove the hackers away.

~Le Time Skip~
I returned to my apartment, unlocking the door and flipping into my bed. "Hey, Elu, how was the Surgery Update?" A voice called from another room. It was my roommate/best friend, Allison Bianca. She's been my roommate for more than three years. I loved her, but i don't think she knows.. Oh well, her luscious blond curls drove me crazy, and her eyes, her lips.. I was so tired i didn't realize i was falling asleep. But you know what else i didn't realize? Those hackers were trying to warn me.
