I held the hat I have always had. When I was twelve I had to pick an item that I wanted from among all others. I choose a blue hat with a yellow puff ball. To afraid to wear it, because I'm afraid I'll lose it. It's the only thing I have from my soul mate. It smells like them I bet, a smell I can't describe. My soul mate has my coffee thermos, my name is written in the cap, in the hat it's written in the top. I don't bother to read it, I'd rather have it be surprise. I've never been to a real school, my parents have always been to scared to send me out into the real world.
But, for my 16th birthday present, they said I could have anything. I said,"I want to go to a public school."
They both looked sad and surprised. They looked at each other, and nodded. My mom said,"Okay, we'll set it up tomorrow."
I smiled and hugged them. I finally can go to school!
My mom said,"Tweek, you may get bullied, you are...different... I just want to warn you."
I smiled and said "M-Mom...I may be a spazzy mess, b-but I-I'll make friends. Even if I do get bullied I'll still have friends!" She sighed in relief. My dad smiled,"That's the spirit, son!"That was a few days ago, today is Monday. My first day of school. My mom asked,"Tweek, shouldn't you were the hat? Maybe your soul mates there."
I shook my head,"No! I-I don't want to lose it!"
She nodded,"Well can you look at the name? So if you meet your soul mate at school?"
"I-I'd rather fall in love with them, t-then see if they are..."
I opened the door and looked back at her,"Bye,mom!"
"Bye sweetie! Have a good first day!"-3rd person view real quick-
After he left Mr.Tweak asked his wife,"Did you realize Craig is in his class?"
She nodded. "I knew it, he should have taken the hat. Craig would have recognized it, if sure of it."
"Im a bit surprised his soul mate is a boy. It's not bad, I'm just a bit shocked."
"I'll be even more shocked if they become friends. I talked to Thomas a few days ago, he said Craig is an ass hold." She laughed.
"I can see it."-back to Tweek-
I walked down the side walk, looking down. Foot steps raced behind me. A boy yelled,"Come get it!" Another voice behind him yelled,"Give it back to Craig!"
A different one, sounding much meaner snarled,"Clyde! Give it back! I need to have it!"
I turned and saw three boys running my way, one in a red and huge coat ran holding a water bottle or something or other. Another boy with a purple shirt with a yellow T. The last one-the scary one- wore a blue hoodie. The first one ran past me and bumped into me a bit,"Sorry!" He yelled.
The second one did the same, but I didn't stay on my feet. "Ahh!!" I yelled, a hand grabbed my wrist, the third boy pulled me up before I hit the cement, "Sorry about them."
"I-It's oaky!" I said,flustered.
He ran off after them,"Clyde, once I get my hands on you,you won't have hands!"
I stood there, feeling three emotions at once. Embarrassed, confused, and struck. It's not good to say "love stuck" sense I don't know his name, but I do feel something odd. I've always known I was bi, but this was more shocking.
I started to walk again, but I felt my foot hit something. I looked down and saw an iPhone 7 in a otter-box black and gray case. When I turned on the power button, the lock screen was of a guinea-pig. I saw info on the screen, he must have taken advantage of the option, or loses it often. It's read, "Craig Tucker.
Age:16
Blood type:O-"
Craig Tucker?
What kid was that? I kept it with me, and ran to school. I went in and the halls where crowded. Many people yelling, running, I looked around for someone who looked nice. I saw a blonde boy with a teal jacket, I asked,"H-hey...uh...I'm Tweek, I'm new. Who...a-re you?"
"Oh! I'm Leopold Butters Stoch! But, call me Butters!" He greeted.
"Do you know C-Craig..T..." I tried to remember his last name.
"Tucker?" He asked.
"Y-yeah. D-do you know where I can f-find him?"
"Uh, check his locker, 118. Mines 116,I know where his is."
"Oh! Th-thank you!"
I ran down the halls, catching peeks at the numbers in between kids heads. I stoped when I heard,"Clyde, did you take my phone?!"
"No dude! Why would I?"
I looked around and saw the two boys from before. I ran up to them and asked,"U-Uh! Do you two know Craig Tucker?" I asked. If it wasn't Craig I didn't want to look stupid just giving him it.
The one in blue looked at me with his cold blue eyes,"That depends, who's asking?"
"Uh..." I lost my words. "I...I found this phone on the side walk." I showed them the phone. The raven haired boys gave lit up,and he sighed in relief. He grabbed it and said,"Thank you for brining it up me!"
"...To prove you are the owner,
Unlock the phone..." I said, my parents always told me to have them do that. He typed in the four digit code. The phone unlocked.
He asked,"Aren't you the kid we ran into?"
Clyde said,"Once again, I'm sorry for running into you!"
"I-it's fine!" I said.
Craig asked,"Hey, so we can go off campus for lunch, what if I take Clyde,You and I out for lunch? To thank you for giving my phone back to me."
I stayed silent, I don't even know them well.
As if he had just read my mind he said,"Don't be scared,we aren't trying to kill you. So what do you think?"
If I say no, and if he wasn't going to, I'd been seen as rude. If I say yes, then I do get killed, they will get arrested. And if I say yes and they are good, I may have fun, and make friends.
"Uh..sure, I guess." Yolo, itd be better for me I make friends.
He smiled and said,"Great!"
Clyde said,"Where are you fine with?"
I don't really know any fast food places. My parents rarely took me out. "I...I don't really care..."
Clyde said,"Oh! I have a gift card thing for Subway! Let's go there!"
"What's Subway?" I asked.
They both gave me a blank look. Clyde tried not to laugh as he said,"Your helpless."
Craig asked,"You know what subs are, right?"
"Yeah..?"
"It's basically that." He looked at me right in the eye.
My heart skipped a beat.
He asked,"What class do you have first, Band or PE?"
I fumbled with my schedule,"Uh.....Band."
Craig said,"Oh, you don't have PE with us then."
Clyde shut his locker after grabbing his gym bag,"What do you play?"
"P-piano."
Craig tensed up and said,"I played it once. I stopped though."
"W-why? It's fun p-playing it."
"Reasons."
A loud ring filled the hall, I yelled and fell back, "J-Jesus C-Christ!"
I fell into someone who said,"Aww...new kid having a rough time?"
I looked up to see a kid in a orange jacket, blonde hair and blue eyes. He said,"Aw...you falling in love with me?"
Craig pulled my arm, pulling me up to him,"As if. Fuck off Kenny."
Kenny laughed and went down the hall with the other students.
I asked Craig,"Who was that and why do you hate him?"
"He's a dick. He burned the object that his soul mate had."
"Why?!"
Clyde sighed, and leaned against his locker,"Many say he didn't like the fact that he had to stay true to his soul mate. He wanted to bang more than one girl."
He's a man whore. And a dick.
"He doesn't know that it's not just about sex, soul mates help you mentally. They change your life! For the better! He's lucky that he even has one!" I got so mad that I started to shake, and tears welled up in my eyes. Craig put his hands on my shoulders and said,"Chill. Why are you getting so worked up about this?"
I wiped my eyes, and started to calm down a bit. "It's just the thought of someone hating the fact of someone loving some one like that." Craig nodded and started to walk down the hall not saying anything.
Clyde whispered in my ear,"Or you hate your self and don't understand why others like you."
"Huh?" I asked.
"Craig has self esteem issues. He hates him self, and hates it when other compliant him. He has his soul mate object, but believes he'll never meet them. That's why he stopped playing Piano. He felt like he didn't deserve it."
I paused not believing what I'm hearing. "He...he is really like that...why?"
"He has a broken family. I'll tell you more when we get closer. The band room, By the way, is down the hall, the end right."
I thanked him and went to the band room. Kids were loud, internment's were playing. The band director was a young looking man, he and I made eye contact, he quickly walked up. "You are the new student, Tweek?"
"Y-yes. I play P..."
"Piano. I know, just go sit down I front of the piano. On the stand is the sheet music."
The first one was a pop song I have heard before. 'house of memories'. I sighed. And looked at the next, 'Paint it black.' There was one more,'Demons'.
"All of these are dumb pop songs..." I muttered to my self.
I played a scale and counted to nine in French, my mom told me to do it like that. I didn't know why but I did. "Un-deux-trois-quatre-cinq-six-sept-huit-neuf" then went back down it. The instructor said,"Okay quite!" No one stopped talking or playing. "Quite!" He yelled. Still nothing. He looked at a clarinet player who sat in front of him and asked,"Will you?" She nodded and yelled at the top of her lungs,"HEY! Shut up!!"
I yelled and slammed on the keys, trying not fall out of the bench. People looked at me and laughed. One said snobby like,"Who invited the spazz?"
The director said,"Tweek, sorry I didn't properly introduce myself. My name you'll get a kick out of it, Mr.Kill."
Some kids snickered.
I heard a girl ask,"Wait! Tweek Tweak?!"
I turned to see a curly blonde haired girl. She had a red cardigan.
"Bebe?!" I yelled.
Mr.Kill asked,"You two know one another?"
Bebe said,"Yeah! My dad used to work for his when we were kids! I'd hang out with him while they worked."
Mr.Kill smiled and asked,"I'm sure you too will spend a lot of one together, to catch up?"
Bebe looked over at me and asked,"Would you be fine with that?"
I said with worry in my voice,"O-O-Of course!"
Mr.Kill said to the class. "Alright lets play Demons again! When we last played you all were bumpy."
