10 minutes later I was downstairs helping my mother to get everything ready I set the table and everything when the doorbell rang

I think it's them my mother said excited

Seriously mom you excited for them I asked shaking my head while laughing I'll go get I told my mom

No no you wait here I'll do it

Now what kind of daughter would allow her mother to do the job I asked her a smile tugging on her lips

A good one she replied and left me standing.

I heard voices a man and a woman and another voice that I knew but I couldn't place a finger on who it was.

A few seconds my mother walked into the room with a man and a woman walking behind her.

Emily meet Mrs Woods and Mr Woods
Woods Mrs and Mr nah its probably just my mind playing tricks with me I can't be can it

It's nice to meet you Mrs Woods and Mr Woods I replied while shaking their hands and allowing them to kiss my cheek as I did the same

My mother took them to the dining room and I ran up to the bathroom to check if I still look good

I was halfway down the stairs when I heard Mrs Woods ask if someone locked the car and checked if it was locked properly

Yes mom  the other person replied

You sure mr Woods asked
Yes dad he replied again

Mom I called out and the voices  stopped

Over here sweetheart my mother replied I walked into the dining room and saw my mother Mrs Woods and Mr Woods sitting by the table and when I looked up I saw his hazel  eyes starring right at me.

Suddenly everything became smaller and smaller and it was just us two it can't be it's not him this is not him it can't be I'm dreaming right tell me I'm dreaming

Emily why are you just starring don't you greet my mother asked snapping out of my dream world

Could things have gotten any worse yes it just did

The adults spoke and I was on my phone.

Em why don't you and Mason go sit upstairs while the adults talk down here.

I think I will rather do the dishes mom I replied as quickly as possible
