I sat on the bottom step waiting for uncle Max to unlock the basement door so I could get ready for my first day of school. I hated school; everyone treated me different because, well I guess because I am different, but that gives them no right to treat me like a piece of trash..

You see I was born a neko, which is a human with cat like similarities, as in cat ears and a tail. It's weird and disgusting, I know. That's what I thought when they started to grow. Yeah I wasn't born with them and my parents where never neko's so they obviously freaked out when cat ears and a tail began to grow at the age of four.

My mother had always told me I was her special little boy, that it wasn't a bad thing to be a little different. I had believed her until I went to school for the first time, and was made fun of. I hated being different. 

I had went to multiple doctors  to find out what was going on with me. They could never give us a straight answer, probably because they where as confused as we were. 

Mother had gotten many calls from different places, people wanting to do test on me like a little guinea pig. My parents were always against it. 

My doctor had looked into it more and found out that there was a few other cases like mine. I wanted to meet them, to see others like myself. It had made me happy and still does to know that I'm not the only one out there that looks  like a freak. 

Yet, sadly he couldn't give us anymore information about them..but I was still happy even if I couldn't meet them.

Suddenly I was cut from my thoughts as the sound of keys reached my sensitive ears. Looking up, I felt my body tense as the door swung open reviling a very mad looking man.

The sudden light that filled the dark cold room made me shield my eyes with my hand.

I heard him take a small step back opening the door wider as he looked down at me with such hate it sent chills down my spine.

 If looks could kill I'd most definitely be dead with the way his eyes seemed to glare a hole into my very soul.

"Get your dumb ass up here!" He snapped his voice filled with venom. "I have kids to tend to, and I have to stop what I'm doing to let your dumb ass out!" 

'Well it's your fault dumb ass.'

I thought as I looked from him to the floor mumbling a sorry. 

Loud footsteps suddenly came rushing toward me; before I could even look up I was grabbed by my hair and literally dragged up the stairs and into the living room as I kicked and screamed for release. 

"Do you see what you make me do!?" He snapped as he yanked my head back and forth by my hair, making me whimper.  His grip tightened as he started pulling up on my hair, making me stumble to my feet. 

I threw a punch aiming at his face but of course I missed, his features darkened and suddenly I was being slammed against the wall, the sudden action taking my breath away.
