Chapter 4 -Aftermath

Effy's POV


''Damn Him''I hissed to myself as I entered  backstage after gulling debut match-I knew I should not have trusted him.
 I stopped for bit took a deep breath as I felt my inner voice saying to me''Effy You have bad experience with  cute guys -why You thrust them?Why You enjoy hurting Yourself or embarrassing Yourself-focus on Your work dang it!''

After listening to my inner voice lecturing me  I  resumed walking  pissed after Elias stole my spotlight-My spotlight that I worked so hard to get it. I was happy about winning my debut match but Elias distracting my match still gave me a bit sour taste in my mouth.


I untied my hair and walked to locker room  to change and fresh up and also grab some snack since I was hungry after match.

  I continued to walk  to locker room when suddenly someone grabbed my arm-that grip felt manly and strong.I turned around to see who it was and when I did I I reached the boiling point.It was Elias looking at me  smiling at me teasingly.


 ''What do You want haven't You done enough''I hissed at him and rolled my eyes at him ''Now Effy I wanna say I am sorry that I distracted You from match which ended in You winning the match wasn't my intention ''he murmured and smirked at me.

 I got even more furious as I escaped his grip  and said''Mind Your own business and I will do the same You understand me?''


''You will fall for me Effy''He murmured again as he pulled me close a bit  and smiled at me naughty and winked.


 ''Whatever Jeff''I murmured and escaped his grip once again and walked away to change into comfier clothes and go to next city with my dad ,uncle and Reby and my two cute stepbrothers leaving Elias in shadows.


And as I was walking away I felt my anger that I had towards  Elias had left my body completely

  As I walked in dressing room which I shared with my dad and uncle I began to get dressed and  and make myself look nicer after being in match and as I was getting dressed I noticed a note in  my bag.


 Then  I looked my uncle who was checking his phone for messages and my dad fixing his hair and asked'' Who put a note in my bag ?''


''It is from Elias ,that nice guy who helped You walk back to us safe and sound before show and Effy don't be mad at him please he is good kid''My dad said as he drank some water.


I sighed and took out clean shirt from my backpack and opened note which read''Effy,You might not know me fully but I wanna know You and be friends with You off camera at least  or maybe even more -You seem like good woman and I like You sincerly Jeffrey aka Elias ''



I hugged the letter tightly and smiled-maybe he wasn't mean and maybe my friends were right.Maybe I should try..maybe this could be something good and I decided that I will go up to him and have heart to heart in next city.


  I quickly grabbed shower and put on fresh clothes which were black sweats and Hardys Reborn by faith shirt and black sneakers  and tried fixed my hair into nice bun and then my uncle rushed to my aid and said''Let me help niece,You took a serious bump let Your good  old uncle help You''.


''Thanks Uncle Jeffy''I smiled and my uncle made my hair all nice and pretty .Then I hugged him and said''Thanks uncle''.


''Anytime niece''He replied happily and hugged me back and then Maxel rushed in and said''Swissyy Hwug swissy swupelhewlo '' and Reby followed with sleepy Wolfgang in her arms.


I picked Maxel up and said''So I am Your superhero little bro'',he nodded and cuddled close to me and I chuckled replying ''Okay''


  ''Guys lets go''My dad said and we all followed him to our car which would take us to next city.


Our car was big but very beautiful SUV for seven people and a lot of bags -My dad was  main owner of the car but when My dad was on Reby used and this car was perfect for us  since we were a big group of people with a lot of bags.


 I helped Reby with getting my both younger brothers in car and checked if they were safe and comfortable as my dad and uncle put our bags in car  and then I hoped in backseat and Reby followed.


  ''Nwight nwight''Maxel said and smiled at me as he closed his eyes and fell asleep hugging my arm like a teddy


  ''Night baby bro ''I  said smiling and kissed his head and then I took my tablet out  and plugged my earphones in it and shuffled through songs that were in my music player until I found a perfect song that represented my emotions perfectly -it was Halsey's  Colors.


  ''That will do''I said and put my earphones in my ears and listened to song-it   suited my mood so well  and as I listened to song I felt it was telling me let go of your past relationships and start new,its okay.''

  Then My dad and uncle hopped in  car and I pulled my earphones out for bit and my uncle said''Everyone here everyone safe'' and Reby said''Yes we are safe Jeff'' and I added''All of us are here now lets go''.



''Awesome and aww look at You Effy both of Your baby brothers are hugging your arm from each side now thats so nice''my dad said smiling and I nodded giggling ''Yes they are affectionate now lets go''

And then My dad My uncle and Reby, and I  hooked ourselves to seat belts and hooked my brothers to extra seat belts and my dad started to drive and  I also closed my eyes for a nap and tried to think what I will say to Elias when I will meet him in the next city.
