Running. That's all I remember doing, for a while at least.  Running, for a single second of freedom, for a chance to live my own life, make my own decisions.  It all started when I was born, I was taken from my parents, trained to live as a servant of my master, for the rest of my life.  But that all changed when I made my big escape.  I got the idea when one night my shackles were left a little loose so I slipped out of them and slid through the slightly ajar second story window of my master's bedroom and climbed down the side of the building.

I had escaped and when I did I ran.  Through town after town trying to leave my old life behind. I ran as fast as my short legs could carry me, not once did I ever even so much as glance over my shoulder. I wasn't so lucky though.

Suddenly I was cornered by tall people in masks as they shot spells at me. I tumbled to the ground. Large shadows hovered over me and loud shouts filled my ears just as I lost consciousness.
