5:30am
It was another sunny weekend. Great. Now mum's gonna complain that I'm being a vampire again. I've told her again and again that the brightness from the sun interferes with the screen brightness but does she care? No, of course not. Oh well, another day of gaming in an overly lit room. At least I've got another 2 hours before she wakes up (p.s. getting up at dawn is always a plus to get some extra gaming time in). Hopefully Matt will be here just as mum gets up so I don't have to get the "You shouldn't be gaming so early in the morning, it's bad for your health" lecture again. I really have to find a way to hide my early morning gaming habits. Well, time for some early morning Skyrim.
2 hours later........
7:30am
"Nick, go make mum a coffee would you?"
*Ding*
*The quest: 'Make mum a coffee' has been issued. Will you accept?*
"Yeah alright"
*ding* *Quest Accepted*
By the way, I should've mentioned that I've gained this weird ability. Last night mum asked me to go out and get groceries for dinner and all of a sudden, this pop up appeared right in front of me saying it was a quest. As soon as I hit 'Confirm', I gained an ability which just about turns the world into a giant game. I can see people's levels, names and titles. As it turns out, most peoples levels are only around level 2-3 and don't have a title. I happen to be level 4 with a title 'The User'.
In most games you get experience from completing quests and fighting monsters (although there don't seem to be any monsters just walking around the place). I was quite surprised when I levelled up after completing that 'quest'.
"Oi Nick, you coming?"
*ding* *a new quest: 'Meet Matt' has appeared. Would you like to accept?*
Geez, even this was turned into quest?
"Yeah, I'll be down in minute Matt"
*ding* *Quest accepted*
I have to find a way to stop all these popups from appearing. It's a pain to have to keep closing them but at least no one else seems to be able to see them.
Well I'll check the settings menu for a popup option when I get back, for now, I've got to go and study with Matt at the library.
