"goodbye"

24 hours pass,
The queen is still not awake.
48 hours fly by,
2 days go on, she will not wake.

The endlessly sleeping royalty,
Never opening an eye.
The king is worried, he is suffering,
Cannot take another second, so he says goodbye.

His brain drives him into madness,
his sanity goes astray,
For when his wife doesn't wake,
The kingdom keeps a secret and the queen goes "far far away".

A little girl, her name was Dahlia,
She never slept again.
The only thing she's doing now is crying her heart away,
And now she's ten.
Ready to be a queen.

Forced into marriage to the old, old, king,
The girl is more afraid, doesn't want to say goodbye.
The glistening object comes closer, it's the ring.
They say their vows, the girl trembles,
She gives up her precious finger.
The bitter taste of affection still lingers,
She doesn't want to live anymore,
She hates her life, to the core.
So she ties a noose and opens the door,
Leans in and takes a step once more.
The living world suffocates her, she won't have to cry.
But most importantly, no more "goodbye's".
