"Are you kidding Bella hurry up, you're so damn slow. The hottest guys in school are waiting at the party." I would have been able to hear Abbie's screaming voice from China.
I take a heavy breath and turned the door handle. One step out and I have already been blasted by the cool wind blowing over our town.
"Get in already!"
I hadn't realised I had stopped as I opened the door handle and sunk into the warmth of the car.The bass music thumped in my ears as I arose from the car and witnessed a bunch of drunk teenagers snogging each other. A party wasn't usually my idea of a perfect Friday night, but I had agreed to come tonight for one reason and one reason only. Kristopher. Yes that is Kristopher with a K. One of the most popular guys in school, plays guitar, football and is currently sitting at top of the grade in Math, Science, Music and Modern History. Basically everyone's dream date, buuutttt there's only one problem. He's never dated a girl. No one knows whether he thinks that no body is good enough for him, if he's not aloud to date or if he's actually gay, which btw would be awesome as gay is soooo okay.
"Helloooooo, Bellaaaaa, Krist is over there," Abbie's finger flew over my eyes and I followed it down to where he stood. I didn't come to this party for nothing, so I trudged through the maze of interlocked teens until I was standing opposite my target.
"Oh hey Bella"
My mind twisted. I couldn't focus on my words, because my mind was to busy gazing into his violet eyes and wondering how soft his dark brown hair would feel.
"Hello Kris" was all I managed to put together."Has anyone ever told you how beautiful you are?" I probably looked like an idiot, regardless, I started to hit my head. This is a dream. It must be a dream. But I quickly realised it isn't and slowly pulled my hand down, in order to reply to the majestic being in front of me.
"Actually no they haven't"
Well that's a great way to get a boy to like me... not."Well I couldn't see why not, why don't you come upstairs with me?"I found myself nodding before I even decided to agree.
Heading back through the maze of interlocked teens was different from ten minutes earlier. This time, instead of having to work my way through the maze, the maze made it's path around us. Wide eyes and gaping mouths surrounded us as the animals untangled themselves to stare at "the sexy guy who never dated", walk a girl upstairs.
One step at a time. I had to focus. The last thing I wanted to do was fall over. It wouldn't have mattered anyway...
"BELLLLLLLAAAAAAA" Of Coarse Abbie wouldn't have been embarrassed for me. She shouted my name from the bottom of the stairs, drunk. She was drunk and clearly wasn't going to take no for an answer.
Reluctantly I lifted my feet, one step at a time. The trip to the bottom felt significantly longer than the one up. Once I had safely hit the bottom my lips parted to mouth sorry to the guy I had been crushing on for forever and a half... and had almost gotten. I turned after that, sensing that he still hadn't moved from where he stood about 50 stairs above me, and walked with my friend until the cold wind hit me once again.
"Ab's, you can't drive."
"Oh bull shit, you don't have a licence so who else will." Because and ONLY because she was my best friend and I trusted her, I got in and let her drive. Worst decision of my life."ABBIEEEE, STOPPPPP!"
I saw glass, shattering and felt it splintering my skin. I witnessed my best friend, my soul sister, being thrown out of a window, fractures and shards splattering on her and around her. Until all I saw... was darkness.
