I fell inlove with my bestfriend

They say, "loving your guy bestfriend is a sin". Well, I guess it's true. You wanna know why? Sorry, I won't tell but I am willing to share my story.

I'm inlove with my guy bestfriend named Ezekiel Ramos. A dean's lister, singer, dancer and at the same time a varsity player. He is tall, with smooth brown skin and chiseled features. He's exactly the epitome of manly beauty. In short, every girls dream. We've known each other since grade school we flirt and have it all. We have tons of inside jokes, and tease each other. We smile at each other all the time. We share everything with one another like sharing of answers during quizzes.

I know things about him that he would never tell anyone and have told him all mine. We talk everyday; text all the time; skype; and hangout with blockmates. We never kissed or anything. I think it's because we were scared to take that step but we have an endearment, Chums. We always joked about how we should just get married but that was about it. We're partners all the time: Partners in crime; Partners in cheating; partners in dancing; and seatmate etc. but one thing we don't partner and it is... Partner in Relationship. A boyfriend-girlfriend thing. A couple that I wish we had.

Everybody expected that we will be on that stage. They also thought that Ezekiel courted me. "Ayiee~", one of their word to tease us. that word also gave me butterflies on my stomach, and that time I realized that I was into him.

One morning...

"Chum, do you know what is the square root of twenty thousand four hundred forty nine?" he ask.

"Hey! what do you think of me, Chum? A calculator?" I joke.

"No... just answer it," he commanded.

"Fine." I find the answer without using the calculator. I just use the pen and my pad.

"One hundred times one hundred equals ten thousand. Obviously, it's not the right one. One twenty times one twenty equals fourteen thousand four hundred." I uttered while his watching my solution. Until he intervened.

"Chum,"

"Hmm,"

"143,"

"143? Ah, Okay lemme try it." I smile. Still solving. I just realized that he's no longer on my side.

"Hey! Chum, where are you going?"

"Somewhere. Tell me your answer later." He smile fakely and left the classroom. I know when his smile is real and when is not. I continue solving. A minute later, Gotcha! the square root of twenty thousand four hundred forty-nine is 143! :D

I went around to look for him until I found him talking to his friends. Then, I told him the answer in front of his friends. They laughed after they heard what I've said. But Ezekiel just looked at me seriously and walked out of the crowd.

Now he has a girlfriend, Sofia Ellaine Chul. I can see why he likes her. She is the cheerleader and every boy in campus is after her. It broke my heart when he told me about her the first time, but instead of breaking down. I placed on my face and told him I was so happy for him. I know it makes him happy that I approved of her. I love him so I'm going to place a fake smile on my face and told him to go for it. I am happy for him. I really am. At the same time it kills me to do so. But it hurts more and more everytime he speaks about her. Inspite of that we still flirted a bit much until he told me that Sofia is jealous everytime we do our usual things. I started to back off and talked to him coldly, not to answer his calls or text and stop hanging out with him. I know he cares for me but he doesn't know I'm inlove with him.

Yesterday I saw them kiss and later that night I found myself crying and I cried to sleep. It hurts so much to see them together I can't tell him I love him. I will not put him in that position. But the pain it causes me to see them together is too much! and because of this experience, I have learned to Sacrifice our friendship for the sake of their Relationship.
