The Unattainable One

"Keira, wake up. You're going to be late as usual"

"Two more minutes, mom."

Mom enters the room and pulls the bedcovers off Keira. Then as she leaves she turns off the A.C in her room.

Keira groans loudly and then pulls herself off the bed. In a record time of 15 mins, she gets ready for school. She comes down and joins her parents on the breakfast table.

"Good Morning cupcake. Running late as usual, are we?" her dad sweetly asks.

"Dad, school is just 10 mins away. Anna and Frank are going to pick me up. I'll be in time for the first lecture." she grins.

Just the her phone rings loudly indicating the arrival of her friends outside. Hurriedly, she picks her lunch and runs outside towards Frank's car. Anna grins at her," How did aunt Carol wake you up today? Water on your face or playing your stereo loudly?"

Frank cracked up,"No, wait let me guess. I think aunt Carol pulled her bed covers and switched the A.C off."

Seeing the look on Keira's face, they knew Frank was right. "Aww.. Poor sleeping beauty couldn't complete her sleep. If there was a course in sleeping you'd probably ace it with closed eyes."

"Laugh as much as you want to but you both know how much I hate early mornings", Keira said as she got down from Frank's car.

"See you both at lunch. I need to go and see Mrs.Adams." Mrs.Adams was their drama teacher.

"Morning Miss.White. You look exhausted. Staying up late with assignments, I presume."

"Yes, Mrs.Adams. You called me? Is it something important?."

"Well, you know Kyle Brown-the famous television actor?"

Kylie gave a blank look.

Mrs.Adams continued,"The one who plays the lead role in Lost in Love"

Kylie wasn't big on television soaps, especially not the romantic ones. Lost on Love was a huge hit among girls her age but she wasn't a fan.

"Well, anyways," Mrs.Adams continued," He is going to be here to conduct an acting workshop and to also be a part of the play."

'Wow,' Keira wondered, 'My friends are going to have major heart attacks.'

"So I want you to be the one taking him around and introducing him to the drama committee."

OMG
