I walked into my room, grabbing boxer shorts, a singlet and some under garments before going into my bathroom and having a shower. I walked back into my room, and walked towards my bed when I noticed a piece of paper on my bedside table. I sniffed for a scent of who had been in my room before I noticed that it was Tyler’s. I slowly grabbed the piece of paper before opening it and reading what it said;
Dear Delilah,
By the time you read this, I will be long gone. I heard that a Original Vampire is after werewolves that can shift fully into wolves, even though you can’t shift like me, I didn’t want you to be near them. I hear they are very dangerous and guess what? I am dating Caroline. I guess I should of told you that face to face. I decided to go against my parents and bring you home to your family were you would be so much happier than you were living with my family. Look I was leaving Mystic Falls, to find a pack, someone who can help me control this better. Don’t worry your safe here.

I reread the letter a couple more times and felt a few tears escape my eyes. He did this for me. He brought me home, so that I could be with my family and be happy. I guess I would be forever grateful to him for bringing me home, to my family. I grabbed my pajamas which consisted of a green singlet with baby blue mickey mouse shorts and put them on slowly and crawled into bed. I soon awoke to the sound of another beating heart in my room. I sat up and turned on my lamp, that sat on my bedside table. I looked to the one seat chair and saw that Derek was sitting there. He looked at me and I watched him closely.
“What are you doing here Derek? Why are you in my room at-” I looked at my phone which read 2:00 am “2am in the morning! I have school today, I cant be this tired!”
Derek watched me cautiously. “I need to know if you have any idea what is happening in this town. Has Scott or Stiles told you anything?” I shook my head and he sighed.
“Okay, well. I’ll pick you up after school today and I’m going to fill you in. Don’t worry about Stiles, he has lacross practice.” I nodded before a yawn escaped my lips. Derek stood up and walked towards the window that was a whole wall that looked towards the woods.
“Derek? Could you stay with me until I fall asleep? I don’t really want to be alone right now” Derek looked at me before nodding his head and sitting down on the other side of my bed. I slowly slid under the covers again and patted the bed telling him to lay down with me. He sighed again before lying down and I moved closer to him, listening to the sound of his heart, and listening to his breathing. A small smile graced my lips as sleep over took me for the second time that night.
When I woke up, I noticed that there was a banging sound coming from the front door. I groaned and got up pulling on ankle socks and walked down the stairs groggily. I looked through the peep hole and saw Derek and Isaac. I opened the door and said
“What the hell do you guys want now?” I was already agitated as it was my first day back at school.
“Is Stiles home?”
“No, I don’t think so buddy”
“That was actually an excuse to come and see you Delilah, the real reason we are here is to tell you about what has been happening in this town” I nodded and moved aside, gesturing them to come in. As Derek was walking in he whispered in my ear ‘Nice pajamas’ I blushed and looked down. Isaac got back up claiming that he was going to go see Allison and Scott. Derek sat down and I sat down opposite him with my legs up so that I couldn’t see him. I felt him grab my feet and place them on his lap and start to massage them.
