I woke up to the sound of voices, the ones of our next door neighbors.
They usually come up a little bit earlier than anyone else, and yet I don't think I've met anyone except Mrs. Sarty. She was a nice lady, always had a bright smile and her hair in a braid. She was very rich I heard that her father died leaving her billions from his company that he had put his life into. Her and her husband had kids, but I never really saw them when I was younger, my dad and I were always somewhere else but home until night time.

I look out the window seeing a girl around 14 looking down at an iPhone that clearly she was obsessed with, and a boy around my age. Woah. He was super hunky dude. He looked about 6'2, brown hair, and super built.

He wasn't happy looking, he looked sad, like he didn't want to be there.
He was staring at his sister obviously saying something that she didn't like.
He walked slow toward the lake, picking up rocks, and looking around.
We locked eyes, I've never been so embarrassed in my life. His face seemed to soften, but when his father called him back, it returned to its original form. He stared at the lake once more, and slowly walked up the pathway and disappeared into the house.

I sighed, knowing that I  probably would never talk to him, or even have him look my way every again.

I start cleaning frantically, knowing this is what I always do when I'm nervous. My father always told me to break that habit because I would just make more messes than I needed.

I quickly fed my dog, Bruno, and let him outside. I found Bruno wandering the night my dad had died. He seemed lost, and so was I at the moment, so he immediately became my best friend. He was always a loyal companion, always was there when I cried myself to sleep at night, I pretty much owe him the world.
