Pt. 1

I went inside a dark alley to hide myself from the police. I've been running for about 20 minutes straight now, they just didn't seem to stop so I had to hide before they caught me.

So now I'm here, hiding behind a huge mountain of trash, waiting for that jerks to just surrender and go home or wherever.

After what seemed to be an eternity they left and I finally was capable to left that horrible smell. I sighed and looked at the sky. ''This is just temporary Jihyun, it will end soon'' I told myself. Deep inside me I knew that this was just not right, but I had to do it to protect my family and friends.

I started to walk to my secret basement where I had my car parked to go home. Once I was hopped into it I drived off with no trails.

The next day I woke up to my annoying alarm indicating that I had to go to college. A sigh escaped my mouth with frustration and I got up to get ready. Within 15 minutes I was ready. It was 6:20 in the morning so I had a little time left to rest in the couch. While I sat down and sighed again, I thought about the race that I had today, of course as request of my boss. Well not that much of a request, it was an straight order and nothing out of my routine but this time it was different, today is Minha's birthday. What was going to happen when Minha sees that I'm not present in her birthday? She's for sure going to beat the heck out of me. I can't let her down, specially not today. 

''Argh!'' I yelled. Maybe I could change the time? Yes, that's what I'm gonna do. I checked the hour and it was 6:35 now. I still have time. I pull my phone out of my pocket and dialed the number of my boss.

After 2 rings he picked up. ''Hello? Jihyun?  What do you want now?'' he said with his well-known deep voice. 

''Hey,  Mr. Jung, I was actually going to ask you something'' I said with a stern voice but internally I was really nervous. I know he doesn't like when people change plans.

I heard his sigh. ''What is it now Jihyun?'' he said with evident annoyance.

''I want to change the time for the race this night, I had something very, very important to do'' I said.

The line was silent for a moment and then I heard him say ''Jihyun, this race is settled by almost a month now, and not even to mention that if I tried to change the time they'll be pissed.  And you want me to change the time?'' he said like if I was stupid. I mean, I did now that, but I didn't know that it was a big deal.

''I did knew that Mr. Jung, but-''

''Well of course that you knew that Jihyun! Just go to the race right when you finish school, do you oppose?'' He interrupted me.

I just hummed and hung up. I really hate that dude sometimes. Now I don't know what to do.

I sighed once again, it seems that today is the day of the sigh, isn't it?

I got up from the couch and went to my car, maybe I'll just tell her that I'll be late. She'll understand. I'll just think about it later.

I got inside my baby and speed up right to college, I hope I can really fix this. I have let her down about a hundred times by now, geez.

It was finally break time. I called Minha to know where she is.

''Hey Ji! What's up?'' She said with excitement.

''Hey, where are you right now?''

''I'm on my way to the cafeteria, see you there?''
