They say it always starts with something that wouldn't make sense.
However, getting caught in an inescapable tornado with no way out would be the best way to describe Emilia's situation. Feeling frustration build within, she looked out of the house, only to find the same strange surroundings.
The Purple Pub house was located in the middle of nowhere, maybe even far from that. Woods, deep and twisted woods surrounded all around the house, or mansion, that is more suitable. More or less, there had been an uptown vibe to it, with no way out.
"Please let me out." She knocked softly on the door. "Guys?"
There was some shuffling on the outside, she knew both of them were present by the way their breaths filled in the silence of the hallway. Grayson's soft groan of 'Ethan' also reached her ears, she recognized the groan that leaves Grayson's lips whenever Ethan doesn't let him have his own way.
"We can't let you out, sorry Emilia. We are your kidnappers, hence we are in charge here." Ethan said from the other side of the door.
"Well, what are you doing outside this room then?"
"This is my house. I can be wherever I wish to be."
She got silent after that. There was no point really in arguing, when there were literally very thin chances of escaping.

After a few hours, the door opened. Emilia jolted awake from her sleep, looking over to see Grayson standing there with a smile.
"You can come out if you want. Ethan's not at home." He said.
"Where is he gone?" She asked out of curiosity.
"Another mission." He shrugged.
Emilia's eyes widened as she gazed at the small handgun that Grayson was holding. He followed her gaze and smirked at her bewildered expression.
"Wait, isn't that a Springfield Armory?" She asked.
Grayson raised his eyebrow. "You seem to have good knowledge of guns."
"I'm the Mayors daughter. Of course I had to." She shrugged.
Grayson frowned slightly at the new revelation. He quickly pocketed the gun back before taking a deep breath. "Can I ask you something?"
"Yeah?"
"What's going on between you and Ethan? He seemed weird today. Well he is normally weird though, however but he never avoids me. Did something happen?" Grayson asked, his heart pounding.
He never in a million years thought Ethan would ask him to do this. They had never even considered the next step in such a mission, usually their targets were simple. He wasn't stupid, he knew what was happening, but the thing was they could no longer remain here.
"Ethan, uhm. Despite you two have kidnapped me, you're great guys I guess." She stuttered a bit, her cheeks flaming up.
Grayson nodded, his lips set in a thin line.
"I'll talk to you later, gotta run some errands." He muttered.
He immediately ran out of their house, into the faraway forest fields where Ethan was sitting by the lake. As soon as he heard Grayson's footsteps, he stood up. It was visible he was quite nervous, not knowing if his doubts were true.
Grayson panted thoroughly, but as soon as he regained his breath he looked at his brother dead in the eye.
"We need to leave, right now."
Ethan nodded as he took out his phone, typing a quick text to their father for their whereabouts.
"You were so right, oh my gosh. How could I be so stupid, Ethie. All this time, I thought she was actually innocent and chill, but of course, how the hell can someone not freak out about them being kidnapped?"
Ethan sighed and squeezed Grayson's shoulder assuringly. It calmed him down a little, but he still seemed nervous.
"Its not your fault, bup. You're just very nice to people, but remember, we need to keep her hostage as long as father isn't done with the Mayor. And staying here is no longer safe. She's been kidnapped earlier, and managed to escape those people. But not this time. We will not let father down." Ethan said.
"Yeah." Grayson nodded." And have I mentioned she recognizes the name of my handgun? This one." Grayson pulled out the black Springfield Armory from his pocket. It was the model Ethan gifted him on their last birthday, and Grayson made sure to carry it with him everywhere.
"You didn't." Ethan stared at it. He took the gun from his hands and put it in his jacket."We can't let her know that you always carry this around now. I'll keep this safe with me, don't sorry. Just go now. Divert her mind. I'll, I will start Plan B." He instructed.
Grayson bit his lip hesitantly, he felt uncomfortable without the gun in his pocket. It made him feel safe, even though how ironic it would sound to someone.
"But was kissing her necessary?" Grayson mumbled under his breath as he left, without waiting for Ethan's reply.
It wasn't. Ethan thought, refusing to think about the pretty green eyed girl.
