The next day it came, the dredded train ride to Crocus. All three dragon slayers loathed trains or vehicles in general due to their motion sickness. But here they were yet again in a train, in pain.
Yvene had her head between her knees trying - effordlessly - to ignore the rumbling and shaking of the train around her. Sting was already hanging out the window, rethinking his breakfast. Rogue was leaning back in the seat, his red eyes closed, breathing heavily and looking slightly greenish. The three exceeds were sitting next to their dragons, trying to help by just being there.
"I told you breakfsat was a bad idea", Rogue mumbled through clenched teeth.
"Shut it, Shadoweater", Sting retorted groaning and still hanging out the window.
Yvene stayed silent, as long as she did that, she was at least sure she wouldn't throw up.
Finally, after hours and hours of being on the train, the dragon slayers were released. The train arrived at Crocus. Still green and on wobbly legs they left it as fast as they were able to, only to fall to their knees at the station, gaying weird stares from bypassers. They ignored them all, well Yvene was shooting an evil glare here and there, and tried to regulate their breathing and heartrates again.
"I. Hate. Trains", Sting clarified again, still breathing heavily.
"Who doesn't?" Rogue asked running a hand through his hair.
"Are you feeling better?" Moon asked looking at the three dragons but exspecially at Yvene.
"It's getting better", the Silver Dragon answered finally standing up again.
"This is a sight I never fail to remember, that a single train can get the mighty dragon team on their knees", a sudden voice sounded on their left. Yvene wiped her head around. There stood Rufus, one of her guild mates, smiling smugly underneath his halfface mask and feathered hat.
"Shut it, Rufus or I'll make you", she threatened and gritted her teeth with a little growl. Next to her the younger twin dragons were on their feet again too.
Rufus raised his hand in an apologetic manner.
"Sorry, sorry, but anyhow, the master wishes to see us all at the inn"
"Allright, we're coming"
With that they followed the Memory Make Mage through Crocus to the wellknown inn, they have already stayed at the last times they went to the Grand Magic Games. There they all gathered in the great room, Master Jiemma was standing in the front.
"Silence", the room fell silent at once, not that it had been very loud in the first place. Master Jiemma's aura was usually enough to keep them quiet.
"Good, now that we're all here, I will announce the team competting this year:
there will be:
Rufus
Orga
Sting
Rogue
and Yukino"Yvene couldn't help it, she gasped loudly, along with many others. She had lost her place to Yukino?! A dragon had lost to a Celestrial Mage?! No way in hell!!!
"You cannot push me out! The dragon team always compets in complete!", her voice was loud and angry, not the tone you should use in front of Master Jiemma, but right now the Silver Dragon was way to angry to care.
"I have decided to give her a chance and you were the first option to be crossed out", his voice sounded final, still she didn't want to hear it.
"No! That is MY place!"
"Silence! Shut up now or shut up forever. If I hear so much as a single other word from you against my choice, you will be expelled!", Master Jiemmas voice boomed.
Yvene made a sudden step back as if he did hit her straight across the face. Her body trembled with rage, her fists were clenched tight and shaking at her sides. Still she didn't want to be expelled. She gulped and breathed once or twice, then she fell down on on knee and hung her head low.
"My apologies Master, my temper got the best of me"
"Good to hear, you know were it came from. As a punishment you will not sleep here during the GMG this year. LEave immediately or the punishment will be worse!"
"Yes Master", the Silver Dragon said in a strained voice then stood and left without so much as a glance back. She heard a little whimper and even without turing around, she knew it was Sting whose blue eyes followed her every move out of the inn and into the evening.
"Everyone else?"
No, Yvene knew no one else was going to say a single word, not against his choice and not against her punishment either. That was how Sabertooth worked, obey the master or get punished.
"Stupid dragon temper", she grumbled kicking some rocks away.
"Yvi-kun wait!", a little voice sounded behind her. She turned around discovering Moon flying towards her with their bags.
"What are you doing here, furrball?"
"Were you are, I am" Moon simply answered.
"Well then, let's find ourselves a place to stay for those GMG that I'm not even sure of if I wanna still watch them", Yvene grumbled shouldering her bag, that the little exceed had brought with her.
"We'll find a place and we WILL watch it. I promised Sting we will!", Moon clarified. Yvene gave a small smile.
"Well then, I guess we have no choice", a little sarcasm was dripping out of her voice but still, if it was a promise to Sting, she would watch it. She never broke a promise to her fellow dragon slayers.
