Robert just sat there staring. "Aren't you going to saying something?" I asked breaking the long silence between us. "I'm sorry, I just wasn't expecting to see you again. How are you?" he replied. "I'm fine. Just working and taking college online." "That's great. I'm happy for you." "Thanks I guess." "My guess you and Parker are back together?" "No." "Single?" "Not exactly." "Who's the lucky guy?" "You already know him." He sat there for a moment thinking. I notice his face harden as he kept his eyes forward. "Matt." he said behind his teeth. "Yeah. He's been a big help ever since..." "Me." "Look, I have other customers to attend to. You take care now." I immediately walked away as tears trail down my eyes. I just wanted to hold him. Yet, I can't because I'm with Matt.

I asked Alice to cover for me while I go and get my emotions in check. Seeing Robert again was killing me. I love him. My feelings for him are still strong. I was outside taking a breather. I kept fighting back my tears. I really didn't feel like crying. "Cece?" I turned around to see Robert standing in the alley way. I quickly wiped the tears from my eyes and faced him. "You need something?" I asked. He just stood there for moment. "I...need you." he replied. "Why do you need me?" "Because, I love you Secillia. I did this entire break up thing for a reason." "What reason is that? You know what screw it. I don't want to know." "Cece, please." "Why now? Is it because I'm with Matt?" "No, I feel like you deserve to know. That way you understand." "Robert, save it." I walked past him. "I did it because of your dad!" I stopped in the middle of the alley way. My dad? "Yes your dad is the reason why I broke up with you. He said if I didn't leave you he was going to make sure I never work in this town. When I didn't do it he had me fired." I turned to face him. He didn't show any sign of lying to me. No wonder he was acting strange. Without even thinking I waltz up to him and slapped him across the cheek. "You should have told me!" I snapped. I cupped my hands around his face and kissed him. He held me close as we kissed passionately. How I've miss him. I quickly pulled away from him and thought of Matt. "I'm sorry." I said. "Don't apologize for your feelings." answered Robert softly. "I can't do this right now." I walked away and went back into the resturant.

Matt and I were eating dinner. I wasn't feeling hungry at all. I picked at my plate. "Babe, are you okay?" asked Matt. "I'm fine." I replied. "You can tell me. Is it problems at work?" "Something like that." "Talk to me Cece." "I saw Robert today at my job." "What the hell was he doing there?" "No need to get mad about it. He just ordered coffee." "Judging by the way you've been acting I think he did more than just order coffee." "Matt it's no big deal. We talked." "I don't believe you. I bet he fed you a bunch of lies." "Can we just drop this? I don't feel like talking about it." "I don't want you to see him ever again. Your my girlfriend. I did more for you then he ever will. I sure as hell love you more than him." "This isn't a competition, Matt. Number one you can't tell me what to do. Number two if I see him, oh well." "You do realize he's trying to get you back. I for one will not have. I've worked too hard to make that happen." "Excuse me? What do you mean by 'worked to hard'?" "It means I cared about you. I put everything I have into mending your broken heart. What Robert did to you I could never do it. If he truly loved you he would have faught harder." I let out a sigh and took my plate the sink. "I'm going to bed. Good night." I said. I laid there thinking. I have never felt more confused in my life. I knew for sure I was going to talk to my dad about what Robert told me. My dad was always acting like a complete jerk around him. Me being with Matt is a whole different ball park. Something didn't seem right.

I showed up at my dad's place. I peeked into his office to see him on the phone. "Look, I'm pissed about her seeing him again. That bastard probably told her a bunch of lies. I would never put my line of profession in jeopardy. I got to go." He hung up the phone and stepped inside. He sees me and smiled. "Hey sweety." he greeted. "Hi dad. Was that Matt?" I asked. "Uh, yeah. He told me that you seen Robert." "We just talked. No need to go crazy about it." "He's not the guy for you. All I ask is you understand. Whatever he told you its not true. Feel free to ask his boss. You know I'm not like that." "I can't tell anymore. The fact you didn't understand how I felt about him hurts me. It's like what I wanted never mattered to you." "Don't say that." "I'm sorry, dad. I can't help that its true. You can't run my life forever." "I want what's best for you." "What I want is for you to stop. I'm not a child anymore." "Cece." "I have to go. Bye, dad." I stormed out of the room and out of the house. I need to find Robert. I do believe he was telling the truth about my dad. Judging by the way that comversation on the phone was I knew it wasn't lies. I pulled out my phone and text Robert asking him to meet me. He replied that he would meet me at the park.
