Scars
"Scar" not healed completely, a blemish following a damage of some kind, a mark left at the point of separation.
Instead of the surface this "scar" marred the heart.
And just as a scar lags to disappear, this same scar no longer causes distress at the touch. Comparatively, just as the thought of you no longer generates tears.
Left with the ugliness, pain.
It's Not like any other, this "scar" a wound partially healed over, mended by a band of fibrous connective tissue, these same bands are memories, which bound and connect me to you.
