"Link! Save me! I-I need your-" The voice was cut off by a scream. Her scream.
Zelda's scream.
Link always had dreams like this. Because he knew this would happen to Zelda if he didn't gain control over the Master Sword. Death. Not only for Zelda, but for him, Impa, and many others. When he wakes up and Impa's in his room, he reaches to his bedside table for the sword and the shield. But then he realizes that it's her, so he relaxes a little bit.
"Impa, I know what will happen if I die in the fight with Ganondorf. It will be certain death for you. For Zelda. For...everybody I let down." Link muttered. He knew it was the truth, but he didn't want to admit it. He knew that if he doesn't gain control over the Master Sword, it's all over for everybody. Everybody. No matter what the cause is of him dying, the effect will be fatal. He had been left no choice but to fight Ganondorf, no matter what.
He had to do this.

"Lord Ganondorf, the tracker is ready."
"Very good."
"It says the Forbidden Sword is within walking distance."
"Good, but we will not walk."
"Why? Surely it isn't much an effort."
"No, no, it's not that. Somebody else could find it first. We need to go by horse. It'll be much quicker that way."
"Yessir."

Link felt a sudden pain. It had just come out of nowhere, suddenly overtaking his body. "Link, what's wrong?" Impa said. "N-nothing, I'm fine. I'm going for a walk." Link stuttered. He felt fine, he just didn't want her to worry about him. "Okay." she replied. "I'm going for a walk, Impa," Link muttered, "I'll be back soon."
But little did he know that he would run into Lord Ganondorf himself.
