"I grant you two permission to use your devices," the Director told us through the phone.
"Great. Thanks."
Anne ended the video call, and shoved her phone into her skirt pocket.
"Ready?" Anne asked.
"I don't know. I'll try and find a vantage point to watch over those who are still inside," I replied.
"How're-"
I made Ten and Sho appear at my two hands. I then say, "Ask questions later. I'm going up. Try and sneak in."
She went silent, but then nodded as she got into the mall, while I climbed up to the roof of the mall with my katanas. It is very dangerous, so don't do it!
As soon as I reached the top, I looked at the large amount of stab holes I made.
"I gotta pay for that later," I muttered, before crawling to the glass dome.
There, I saw the people who were still trapped in the mall. To my shock, I saw Stella Vermillion as one of them. They, the hostages, we're surrounded by other people with guns.
"Well, goddamn," I muttered, as I continued to look. Hey, no one would expect to look up.
But I guess the shadow I made was seen, because soon after, I saw a man pointing his assault rifle at me.
I just gave a wave. Why? Is it bad to be friendly?
I instantly jumped down from the height, and when I got to the ground, I fell flat on it.
"Ow. . . So much for not getting caught. . ."
. . . . . . .
I stayed put, while they continued observing. . . Planning, I don't know. I don't care.
I then looked at Vermillion-sama's face, and she felt like she was about to burst.
I then watched as she went up and attacked the people with guns with her sword. . . Laevateiin, was it?
I then saw that one of them held onto a young girl.
"Hey!" The man shouted to Vermillion-sama. That caught her attention and seeing the young girl being aimed at point blank range made her stop.
I slowly backed into the crowd of people for cover. No one can see me if I summon my device.
"You better st-" I heard silence fron the man. I then heard gasps coming from the hostages.
I peeked up, and saw Anne, who was holding the man on the back of the man's neck.
I instantly jumped in and brandished both my devices, Ten and Sho.
"Hey, whaddup?" I simply said to them, before I said to Anne, "cover me!"
Anne nodded and brought her hand forward, while I put myself in my usual one-hit K.O strike.
The men tried to shoot me, but the bullets stopped dead in their tracks halfway thanks to Anne's wind
"Get the wind out!" I yelled to Anne, as soon as they began reloading.
Anne brought her hand back, and I dissapeared like lightning.
Everyone looked around in confusion, while I, without anyone noticing, was slashing the men shooting me, which was 4 of them.
When I reappeared, I was right behind the four men, who were on their knees, and fell to the ground. Not dead, but unconscious.
"Anyone else?" I asked with a smirk, but then realised all of them were out. All but that one guy with plenty of rings.
I looked at Stella, who initiated the first attack, which the man deflected and then shot back at her.
I then saw Ikki Kurogane appearing out of nowhere and sliced the mans' hands.
I went to help the hostages escape, but then I heard, "don't move."
"Well, crap."
I rolled sideways, before summoning Sho. Sho is a black coloured katana.
I then saw the man fall to the ground, arrows sticking out of his back. What makes it strange is that there were no feathers.
I saw a man. . . High than likely to be a senior, appearing, as if he appeared from another dimension.
"Well, looks like I saved your life," he said.
"Thanks. . . I guess," I replied.
I looked at Ikki and the others. Anne still retained her good looks, Ikki was the saviour, and everyone else was okay.
I then saw the senior approaching Ikki, and I already sensed something wrong.
When I went towards them, I heard, "Kirihara." "Coward."
I summoned Ten when I heard this person, Kirihara-senpai, said to Ikki, a coward. I then put the blade at the back of his neck.
"You dare to say that?" I asked. Kirihara-senpai turned around.
"Why not? He is a coward. He ran away from battle."
"Unlike you who keeps hiding in battles. Huh, irony."
This seemed to made Kirihara-senpai angry, and before we both realise, we got a notification.
I reluctantly put my blade down from his freakishly annoying neck to check the notification.
I then saw who I was up against, and blinked:
I was going up against Shizuya Kirihara.
Kirihara looked at me, and I did vice versa.
"Well well. A new coward," Kirihara-senpai stated. I guess I was afraid of this guy now. C'mon, he has the ability to hide! What do you expect?! My trump card. . . I still haven't used it, but still, it won't be enough!
"How dare you to call Mesagi a coward, you coward!" Snne suddenly yelled out, standing between me and him. She was facing Kirihara-senpai.
"What? It's true. Look at his face."
Anne looked at my face. She blinked but then shook her head and faced Kirihara-senpai again. I guess I was pale and stuff.
"Alright. Why don't we set up a bet?" Anne asked. Wait what? Why would she do this?!
"I like your idea. If Mesagi wins against me, I'll stop bullying him."
"And Kurogane. And you know which one I'm talking about," I added.
"Okay. But I win, Anne will be in my possession."
'Wait what?' I thought. I wanted to protest, but Anne said, "agree."
"Good."
Kirihara-kun then dissapeared with his ability, while I looked at Anne.
"What?" Anne asked.
"Why would you do that? I mean, put yourself on the line?"
"What's wrong with that? You are strong."
"Not against someone who can hide."
"Oh. . . Oh well."
I sighed.
"So you're letting me go?"
"Wh-no! I won't! Please don't be mad!"
"I'm not mad. Don't worry."
