"CRYSTAL BREAKFAST" my mothers not-so-sweet voice pierced through my ears as I put my pillow over my head, in hope that I would drown her out

My mother woke me every single morning before she went to work, I'm 19 mother I can make my own breakfast now. Besides work is'nt for another hour and a half. Its 9 am dammit! Even if i told her that, she'd wake me anyways (being the stubborn woman she always has to be)

"I'm only gonna call you down here one more time before I get up and drag you out of that bed" my mothers words were followed by a laugh from my annoying little brother,Nicholas.

Once again, only nineteen mom, yet I still do whatever she says.

I practically dragged myself out of bed and looked in the mirror of my vanity at my messy loose curls before letting out a sigh. I walked down the stairs in the most dramatically and slow way possible to try to show how annoyed I was. My mother glared at me before setting a plate of bacon and eggs in front of me. My instant reaction was a loud groan.

I have been a vegetarian for almost a year now, what does'nt she get? I usually just keep quiet and don't eat the meat parts. My mom has always been a single mom who works two jobs, one at a shop down the street and the second as a music teacher during the day, so even though I complain about her a lot, she does a lot for me and my brother so I let it be.

"morning mum" I spoke as I ate my eggs. My mother slipped her pea coat on, and walked over to me, kissing my forehead. "Morning Chrissy". The name Chrissy caused me to scrunch my nose. She always called me that. She only called me Crystal when she was mad. "Nick walk to the bus stop for school and Chrissy get ready for work" my mom announced as I gave her an eye roll.

I think I can get to my job just fine without a reminder all the time. GOSH.

Nicholas walked out with my mum after they both said goodbye. I put the bacon in the garbage then ran up the stairs, instantly turning on my stereo, tightrope by walk the moon blasting as I danced around the room. (basically every morning started with a dance that was'nt as good as I thought)

This heart is burning up. I said oh oh oh oh oh oh oh this heart is burning up.

I spun around my room like a total idiot. Once I was done, I brushed my brown curly hair and brushed it up into a pony tail, putting a black bow over the elastic of my ponytail. You know, just trying to look all cute for nothing. I rummaged through my drawers until I found a pair of dark wash jeans and a plain lavender colored tee. I slipped down my pajama shorts and tea. I quickly dressed in the clothes then slipped on ankle socks and black converse. I went to the bathroom and brushed my teeth and washed my face. I applied eyeliner and mascara, that's all. Makeup is nice and all but I could care less about lipsticks and contouring, (whatever contouring is..) on a regular day.

I hurried up and grabbed my bag and turned my music off. I then ran down stairs and went out the front door to my regular-kind-of-small flat and locked the door behind me.

I walked down two blocks, like everyday, since I don't have a car yet, SIGH. I finally arrived at the diner I worked as a waitress at.

"crystal!" my co-waitress and best friend Katelyn squealed out. Her blonde straight hair fell perfectly on her shoulders, like always. "Hey Katie'" I smiled and slipped on my waitress apron, and grabbed my little notepad. "It's packed this morning!' Katie sighed out before our manager, Mr.James, called our names out to start waiting on people.

Boy was that a long, boring day..not to mention bad tips.
