Chapter 2- John and Damico

     Rough and rouged boys they were, John and Damico lived hard lives. Damico father was a farmer and his mother a house maid which leaved them little time to properly care for their children. And so they roomed the streets day and night. Damico lived in a shabby farm house on top of the hill away from everyone with his little brothers Gorge, Denis Sam and Roger.  And his sisters  Lisa and Sally. Damico was the oldest and so he got into the most trouble from his father when it was time for them to go on the farm.
     John lived with his uncle after his mother and father died of consumption when he was only 3. He was his parants only children. His uncle lived in a little shack under the bridge, and when it rained the roof leaked and was very muddy and dirty. His uncle abused him and forced him to go out and steal food in order for them to servive, which is how he and Damico met.
     John was out stealing food from the market place for him and his uncle  when one of the men in the market place shouted " hey you" which unleashed the fight or flight in him and he began to run as the man continued shouting " you better not come back here stealing anymore or else your ass is grass" and as John continued to run he bumped into Damico and nocked him straight over.
     When John got up he help up Damico and said " I'm sorry I didn't see you there."
"Don't be sorry be careful next time." Damico responded roughly ready to fight, but quickly realised John was not in any shape to fight he was filled with markes and bruses from the abuse of his uncle. Damico them queiried about the marks "did they do that to you for a few Oranges"
" No that is what I got for not getting the Oranges last time."
"No one should ever  have to go through that, do you want a beter life than the one you have now?"
"I can only hope for such a thing."
"You can come and live with my family and work on my father's farm to earn your keep" and from that  day on they both roomed the streets of Gin Hill getting into trouble were ever they cross paths.
