I pulled the sparkly pink fairt dress over my head. I examined my self in the mirror and sighed, although I could rival Tinker bell my eyes showed sadness. I clapped my hands on my cheeks twice and forced a smile these chilrdren need me to be happy I can't let them down. I turned and walked out the door pulling my pretty face on. The first child I would be visiting is on the third floor.
The room was quiet and dark, there was a silent humming from one of the machines and what I saw broke my heart. A little boy around 4 was sleeping, tubes were connected to nearly every part of his upper body. As if he was aware to me his eyes opened and he smiled.
"Pretty fairy." He giggled."Or are you an angel come to take me away?"
I smiled despite the cracks in my heart and walked over to him. The name at the end of his bed read Lucian Wood.
"I'm not here to take you away, lucian. I'm here to make you smile."
He looked at me with sad eye's and I gently brushed the blonde hair out of his eyes.
"You have very pretty eyes." He mumbled.
I smilee gently.
"Well, you must have a lot of girlfriends if you keep giving out compliments like that." I teased.
"Yep. I have three." He boasted.
I laughed and so did he.
"Do they know about eachother or are you leading them along?" I asked.
"Nurse Ally knows but nurse Jane and nurse Kate don't" he confessed.
"You like older woman." I fake gasped.
"Yup and when i'm big and strong I will marry them." He declared.
"Can I come? I could be your flower Fairy." I grinned.
"Of course!" He squealed in delight.
The door opened and nurse Kate came in.
"Marcy, can we talk for a second?" She asked sadly.
This meant time was up, I looked back at Lucian and smiled.
"I will come back and see you tomorrow." I said.
"Promise." He said.
"Promise." I smiled.
Once I was in the hall Kate shut the door and smiled.
"Thats it for today." She said.
"I still have two more children." I argued.
"Aliana is in surgery and." She let out a pained sigh. " Gabriel passed away this morning."
My heart shattered and a tear fell down my cheek.
"His poor parents." I muttered.
"HER, poor parents." Kate insisted.
I ignored her and nodded.
"I will be back tomorrow to see Lucian." I promised.
Once I was changed I left the hospital and made my way home. I could hear the yelling before I reached the house and hesitated.
"It wasn't to late to leave." I thought.
I snuck through my window and grabbed as much stuff as I could possibly fit in the bag and snuck back out again. I had money saved up from 11 years worth of lunch money so that would last me two weeks. A strand of brown hair fell in my face and I tucked it behind my ear. This was the stupidest and best thing I have ever done.
