Hey guys I'm kinda new to this. I haven't written a story in forever but I hope you enjoy it!!! Please comment and tell if it's good or not so I can know to write more. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Maddies POV:

It's been exactly two years, two years since my dad died. He had a rare type of cancer and the doctors couldn't fight it.

My mom still cries sometimes. I do to but not as much anymore. Mom says it's because I learned to accept the fact he's gone even though I miss him dearly.

We used to live in Florida but just yesterday we moved to California to get a fresh start.

I was scared at first to move because I was scared to have a fresh start. I felt if I left my old house my dad would leave to and I'd forget him. But I knew he'd always be in my heart wherever I go.

"Hi mom", I said running down the stairs.

"Good morning honey, ready for your big day"? Said my mom placing breakfast on the table.

It was my first day at Greenwood High, the school everyone went to, jocks, loners, geeks, average kids like me and then of course the popular kids.

Everyone fit a label at this school, so I was told, I didn't really care because there are labels at every high school in the world.

"You're going to be late dear", said my mom grabbing for her car keys.

"Uh I know", I said heading out the door.

Every time we drive to school my mom turns on the radio real soft and hums to it, but today was different. We sat in silence and barely looked at each other.

When we reached the school that was only about 5 minutes down the street I noticed all the groups of kids were standing outside.

"Have fun Madd, I love you", said my mom.

I took a breath, smiled, "I love you to mom", and walked out of the car.

I could feel my hands shaking as I began to walk towards the doors that led inside.

As I pull open the door some obnoxious kid decides to open it from the other side.

As he opens the door it knocks me down right on my face.

"Oh no", says the kid looking at his friend.

I struggle to sit up.

"I'm so sorry, totally my fault, I'm Cameron by the way, you're new right?"

"Yes", I said trying to stand up.

"Here let me help you", Cameron says reaching for my hand.

"I think you've done enough", I said as I walked past him bumping into his shoulder on purpose.

Cameron's POV:

"Dude you are a terrible person", says Nash, one of Cameron's friends.

Who is she? Where did she come from? Why isn't she obsessed with me like everyone else? I thought in my head.

"Shut up!" I said hitting Nash in the arm laughing.

I can't understand why she wouldn't freak out. I'm Carmen Dallas for gods sake she should be dying to talk to me.

"Nash, why didn't she freak out when I told her who I was"?

"Maybe she doesn't like you cam", Nash said laughing.

Doesn't like me? I thought....Everyone liked me?.....Right?

Me and Nash headed to my locker and then were going to head to class.

"Dude", Nash says as he hits my arm.

I turn around to see the girl who I knocked over and I slam my locker hoping for her to look.

She didn't even flinch.

I walked up to her putting my arm around her shoulder.

"So I didn't get your name", I said with a smile.

She removed my arm from her shoulder and said "Maddie, my names Maddie".

"Wow hot name for a hot girl", I said winking.

"Do you ever know when to stop talking"? Maddie said walking into her class.

Turns out we both have history first period together.

"Cam, Nash, how are you guys"? Says Brent walking into the classroom.

"Hey man , were good",me and Nash say.

"Take your seats please, I'm Mr.Funari, welcome to world history miss Maddie".

Maddies POV:

The first day to a new school is always tough. It's hard to join a group of kids who have been together for so long.

I already miss my friends at my old school. Sitting in history made me think of how much fun I used to have.

"Okay class, we have a new student. Her name is Maddie and she will be joining us this year", says Mr.Funari gesturing for me to stand up.

I could feel everyone staring at me and it didn't feel to good. It was the first time I ever went to a school where I didn't know anyone.

The teacher went on and on talking about things we weren't going to need to know until class was over.

*Bell rings*

"Have a great rest of the day", says Mr. Funari.

I don't know why I have to come to school anyway. There's only three days left until summer vacation.

The rest of the day went on boring and even more boring.

Finally the last bell rang and school was over.

*Sorry this chapter is so short haha but comment and let me know what you think.*
