"Sweetie, you know sulking won't change a thing." Eomma sighs as she places a tub of ice cream before me, which I wasted no time to pull onto my lap.

"That guy was being a major jerk." I pout. Not only had he humiliated me, he also glared at me like he was going to eat me alive. Somehow, I have a feeling that he isn't going to employ me seeing how he already hates me before I even start working.

I huff and shove spoons of ice cream into my mouth, not wanting to think about that pale skinned man who could possibly be a real life vampire in disguise.

"He might just be having a bad day. Maybe the next time you see him, he'll be cheerful as ever!"

Yeah. If I get to see him, that is. I mentally roll my eyes at the thought.

Not long after, I feel the vibration of my phone in my pants pocket and pull it out, only to see an unknown number calling. Could it be...?

"H-hello?" I pick up the call after a little hesitance.

"Hello. Am I talking to Miss Kim Hyunji?" The other line spoke, and I blinked before answering.

"Yes, speaking."

"I'm calling from V enterprise, here to inform you regarding the interview. From tomorrow onwards, you're employed as Mr. Kim's personal assistant. So make sure you show up at 9 a.m. sharp, in the lobby." Dumbfounded, my breath hitch a little as my brain slowly responds to the new info.

I'm- employed?!

"Hello?" Seeing that I've yet to respond, the man from the other line voices.

"O-Oh! Sorry! Thank you! Thank you so much! I'll be there!" After hanging up, I couldn't help but to jump around the living room while squealing like a maniac.

I actually got the job! What the heck I thought that dude hated me!

"Hyunji-ah, what are you doing?" Eomma appears from the kitchen. Seeing me transform into a little girl must've shocked her because she's looking at me with a worried look. I run towards her and squeeze her in a tight hug,

"Eomma I'm employed! I'm employed!" And like a child, I dash towards my room after forcing her to jump around with me. All the adrenaline in my body got the best of me, as I'm already picking out my favorite blouse and pants.

Eomma is obviously amused by my abnormal self, because she stood by my bedroom door and do nothing but stare at me getting everything ready for tomorrow with a smug.

"Honestly, you look more like you're going out for vacation right now." She chuckles while I grin at her.

"I can't help it, eomma! I'll be working in V enterprise, as the CEO's assistant! Of course I'm excited!"

The mysterious CEO is known to be the youngest, most successful businessman in Korea, and some insiders even mentioned that he's extremely good looking! It was stated in interviews that he was so smart he graduated university in only a span of two years! So I'd have to say he's my greatest inspiration as a college student, and being able to work by his side, luck seems to be on my side.

"Okay, I guess I'll leave you to it then. Make sure you sleep early, sweetie!" Eomma chimes and rushes downstairs, leaving me alone in my room to do whatever.

Sighing, I throw my suddenly worn out self on bed, pulling my teddy in for a hug. I wonder what Mr. Kim actually looks like, since for some reasons, his face is always blurred out in interviews and pictures. What is he really like in person? Is he kind and warm hearted? Or is he like the ones in those dramas, cold and distant?
