A few more weeks down the lane, Virat was wrapping up things for the day. He promised Diya that they would go eat pizza at their favourite pizza corner. His secretary buzzed him on the intercom.
"Yeah.."
"Sir, it is Jason. He says it is important."
"Put him through."
"Sir, there are two mexicans in the city looking for Manvi. They have been very actively searching for her."
"Do you know their location?"
"I know where they stayed last night. I have sent a team there to their place right now. I think you should not stay at your apartment tonight. Atleast, until we have these two people tracked down."
"Okay. Keep me posted. I am going home. I will be available on my mobile."
"Yes Mr.Vadhera."
Virat hung up the phone and looked at his work with a blank expression. He dialed for Manvi.
"Hey..are you picking up Diya today?" Manvi answered.
"Yeah. Listen..I will be home soon. Be careful ok. Did anyone call?"
"No."
"Okay. I was thinking about taking a vacation. I want us to spend some time together. What do you think?"
"Where do you want to go?"
"Anywhere. Think about it. See you soon."
"Bye."
On his drive back home, Virat told Diya that they were not going to get pizza for dinner. She threw a fit.
"Give me a break Diya. You do not eat the pizza anyways - you just pick the olives. I will give you a bowl of olives instead. How about that?"
"I hate you." Diya pouted looking out of the window.
"Well, you are not being very lovable right now.."
Diya just did not repond. She kept staring out of the window.
"I am kidding princess. Mamma needs to get better before we can take her out. I will order for delivery. Okay?"
"Diya?" "Hey..daughter..what's going on?"
"The people in my class were talking about Momma."
"Really? What were they talking about?"
"That she is never going to get better. That some bad guys did bad things to her."
"Well, tell those people that they are wrong. She is already so much better. And she will be like before in a few days. Okay?"
"Promise?"
"Promise kiddo. Your mom is a tough nut. Just like you."
"She will play with me again?"
"Not if you keep playing that stupid barbie doll game."
"Hey!"
"Alright, we are home. Unbuckle."
They walked upstairs and Virat was shocked to see the door open. He looked out of the window and saw a couple of people talking with Ben - the security personnel he placed outside his house.
"Diya, stay here." he hid her below the stairs.
"Manvi!" he called her out, stepping into the apartment.
"Right here." she called back. He went into his study room to see that Manvi was sitting with two men in black suit.
"They are from FBI. They had some questions for me."
