As they now walk towards the site, they met up with a person specially known for giving exceptions, named Greg Fredrick. He was known for being the Law Maker's Exception, as he can give valid exceptions to those who are limited within the Citadel's rules.
As the gang step at the side of him, which is enjoying his afternoon coffee, Hark carefully asked him, "Hey, aren't you the person who's really good on exceptions?"
"Well, is there anyone else better than me?" Greg asked in reply.
"Don't we agree?" He said once more.
The gang nodded their heads, as Greg did exceptions even in tight, needle-hole laws which then make laws even fairer. He was at his job for over 20 years, being the Exceptionist Councilor and teacher to future exceptionists. Greg was a calm and charismatic man, being a veteran at his job and is well respected in all of the citadel's people and can inspire others about being "flexible" instead of "rigid".
"Do you know that there's a hole at the Northwest border and if there is, are we allowed?" Hark asked once again. "Alright, alright, come closer you all," Greg requested and they came closer, "You see, the hole was actually discovered a week ago, and once that happens, the people here are taking daily doses of Memory Limit Pills, that the government announced to be essential, which makes them forget the hole there."
Hark and his friends were shocked at this moment, "Only the government members are not needed to take the pills, so you all forgot your doses?" Greg asked.
All of them nodded nervously, "Well that ain't much of a problem, just don't talk about it too much, okay?"
"K' then, well can you even make an exception out of, well, this?" Lenix asked.
"Trust me pre-teens, I done my job for 20 years and counting..." Greg replied.
And so the gang left the exceptionist, waving back at him as they continue. Greg waved back, "You go kids, go outside the box..." He sighed softly.
They're now close to the site, no guards were at the scene, and oddly enough, all people who pass by don't it at all...
They approach a fence wall, with a hole which has an irregular shape. All of them are becoming a bit tense and sometimes nervous, but of course, Landis reacts in a much opposite manner; she's very excited and is even waiting for all to come.
Lenix is, well, both interested but also trying to hold back...
"Well, I guess you two do know the ins and outs of this place..." Hark referred to Landis and Lenix.
"Woah, I didn't even went here, it's just that I know the place, since my brother told me so..." Lenix replied nervously but chuckles after.
However, guards are approaching towards them, but have a lot of distance from them, thus a lot of remaining time. Landis desperately pushed them into the hole and told them to hide behind the bushes nearby.
All of them stayed still, not moving a muscle as the guards passed by...
They start to murmur if this idea of going here was never going to work, except Landis, Hark, and of course, Lenix. As soon as the guards went away from the area, they immediately got into the fence wall. Then they run to the unnoticed forest.
And thus their adventure actually begins here...
