Mason woke up earlier than usual, he let his sisters sleep in his room so that way he'd be able to protect them he looked at both of them. The tears heavy in his eyes but he blinked them back.

No! I'm not gonna cry I'll be strong for them. He mentally thought But that didn't go the way he thought it would because the tears fell but he quickly wiped them away. He kissed both of his sisters on the cheek.

He went to a hiding spot in his room and pulled out a stack of cash that he saved up over the years.

He had about ten thousand saved he needed more He needed a job.

Mason got his sisters ready. He walked Nina to school and took Emily with him to go job searching.

"I'm sorry Mr. Calum but I need full time workers not part time." Mason nodded.

"Okay thanks." He walked away This was the 10th job he was rejected from.

"Maybe you don't look friendly enough." Emily suggests.

Mason laughed "you don't think I'm friendly." Emily shook her head.

"No your the best big brother ever." Emily said smiling.

He looked at her and smiled.

"Let's go eat." Mason said. Emily shook her head.

"I can't I was a bad girl." Mason shook his head.

"No, you were good and I'm taking you to eat." Emily nodded.

They were sitting in a diner they grabbed a booth.

"I know why no ones hiring you." Emily said.

"Why." He asked scanning the menu.

"Because you look scary with those bruises on your face." One of the waitresses laughed.

She walked over to their table.

"What can I start you off with." Elizabeth asked.

She had been watching mason and Emily and has fallen completely in love with their relationship.

Mason looked at Emily who shrugged "I can't read." She said.

"Oh shit. Why didn't you tell me." Mason said.

"Okay give us a minute." He said looking at Elizabeth who was smiling.

Her beautiful brunette hair and her blue eyes staring up at them.

"They have Mac and cheese, grilled cheese sandwich-"

"Oi! I want grilled cheese sandwich." Mason laughed.

"I should've known. When you were little you used to always beg Nina to make you grilled cheese sandwiches." Emily laughed.

"Okay we'll have two grilled cheese sandwiches and milkshakes." Emily clapped.

"Yay! Milkshakes." Elizabeth nodded.

She went in the back and saw her mom talking to the cook.

"Hey mum?!" She crossed her arms.

"Shouldn't you be at school?" Melisa asked.

"Mum that's decides the point, there's a boy out there who needs a job. Maybe you should hire him. He looks like he has the skills." Melisa looked at her daughter.

"I'll give him a chance if you go to school after you serve your last customer." Elizabeth smiled.

She came out with their food.

"Enjoy." She said.

"Thank you miss." Emily said Elizabeth smiled.

"You are so very welcome." Elizabeth walked away and Melissa walked out.

"That's the kid?" She whispered to her daughter she nodded.

Melissa walked over to him.

"Kid why aren't you at school?" Melissa asked.

"My Daddy said I couldn't go." Melissa smiled.

"Um I was looking for a job." Mason answered.

"Come back here later and we can talk about you working here." Mason smiled and nodded.

"Okay, Thank you." Emily jumped up and down.

"Yay!! You can get a job." Mason smiled at his sister and paid for their food.

"Alright Em Bear. It's time to go get Nina." They walked out and Elizabeth stood beside her mom.

"There's something about that kid." Melissa said Elizabeth nodded in agreement.
