Totally Opposite

Yam just got home from school, she's walking towards the front door and saw her mother anxiously standing there waiting for her. She knows because it's always been like this. When her mom spotted her she's already smiling warmly and called out for her as she then hug her. "Are you alright? How's school?" her mother asks as they also entered the house. "It's okay mom... I also got a friend" Yam smiled shyly because it's her first time she got one.

Her mother then happily cheered for her as they walk towards the living room. Her father was there seated to an armchair looking at an invitation that was placed on the glass table. Noticing them her father also called out to her to go to her spot , when she got near her father hugged her and told her to sit down. "How was the day of our little princess ? hm?" said her father sweetly as he also pinch her cheeks.

Yam just look down being shy, even if they always do this she's still shy around them and her mom was the one who answered her father in her stead "She got a new friend she said!" she said cheerfully and that made her father laugh, saying "Ah! I thought she got a boyfriend!" her father teased as they continue to talk.

"I baked cookies awhile ago, let's eat it while it is still warm." said her mom as she also stand up to get it in the kitchen. Her father then said "Do you want to come with us? We have a gathering tonight, it's one of our partners and it's his birthday, so they sent us an invitation." as her father lift up the invitation. She shook her head and say shyly "I don't want to go.."

Her father didn't say anything about it and just answered "Okay then , i'll just ask your brother if he wants" she nodded her head and her mom also came back with a plate of cookies. "What are you two talking about?" her mother asked while she also seated next to Yam. "I'm just asking if she wants to go with us" said her father but her mom looked terrified as she said "Don't!"

She's not surprise about it because every time there's a gathering it's either she come and she'll stay by their side, or not come and stay here at the house that's why she doesn't have friends because she's over protected. And She'll be gossiped anyway if she did come. "It's okay mom, I'm not going " she said as she hold her mother's hand.

"I'm sorry my dear..." her mom said and the front door then opened. There entered her brother. Mike. Her mother then called out to him but Mike just glared at Yam and didn't say anything and just went to his room. "That rude child...'" said her mom looking still in the stairs where Mike went up to. Yam isn't surprise about it and just smiled as she just picked a cookie and eat it.

Dinner came and Yam was there seated at the table with her parents and Mike. The three maids also are seated with them and a one butler. The foods are already served as they eat and her Father then asked Mike "Would you like to go with us?" . Mike then answered stopping what he's doing while he look at his father "to?" Her father then answered "Gatherings" as they continued to chat but Mike didn't agree to go and wanted only to stay cause he still have something to do.

Yam didn't talk and just continue to eat while her family chatted. It's always been like this, she didn't dare to make a noise in front of Mike or else he'll get mad. They finished eating without her making a sound while the maids chatted happily with their masters. She helped in washing of the dishes, when her parents aren't looking for they're getting ready to go out.

Yam then seated at the living room waiting for her parents to come out. She opened the tv to watch. After sometime then did her parents come out, she smiled at them when they're showing off their clothes to her. And Mike also came out to his room to get something to the kitchen but stop when their parents was asking if they look good in their clothes.

Mike just answered that it's good but when her mother said with a smile "Aren't you going to see us off with your sister?". Hearing that Mike just glared at Yam and said "I don't have a sister like her, and will never be her!" Yam looked down while Mike also storm off to his room. While their parents just apologizes to Yam "We're sorry little princess , forgive your brother, he's just like that, You're always be our little princess okay?" Yam just nodded seeing them so apologetic and sad didn't make her feel better.

After that she sees off her parents and she's the one who locked the gate with a lonely face she look at the car where her parents are ... In her mind... I know, I'm not your little princess...
