Yeoreum's POV

"Yeoreum-ssi?" My dad called from the kitchen. "Yes!?" I shouted in respond. I didn't go to school today because I had a fever, so my dad told me to stay home instead of going to school. But I really wanted to go to school. My fever isn't that bad but my dad was being too overprotective so yeah ,and besides I miss my girls, Kwon Soyoung, Kim Raehyung, Kang Jieun, Song Hyemin and Park Minju. *Sigh*

"Come and take your lunch!" Dad yelled.

I stood up from the couch and lazily walked to the kitchen. I smile brightly when I saw my favourite food was on the table. "Spaghetti!!" I jumped up and down in excitement and went straight to sit properly on the chair. My dad giggles at my behaviour.

I was mesmerized once I took one spoon full. "Appa! This is DAEBAK!" I gave him a thumbs up as he smile at me proudly. "Appa, why did you don't want me to go to school today? I know I had a fever but it wasn't that bad. It's boring to sit here in house, you know? And plus, I will miss some lessons today." I rolled my eyes while chewing the spaghetti inside my mouth.

"You said it wasn't that bad?! You've been coughing from the morning till this afternoon! And it's okay. You're clever too, by the way. I'm sure you still can get good grades even when you missed some lessons." My dad cooly said while looking at his food.

Suddenly his face turned to a sad face. "This spaghetti reminds me of one of my closest friend, Lee Jaeseok. He told me that his favourite food was spaghetti." My dad sigh as he stood up and brought the plate to the sink. I quickly finished my food and rush to the sink.

"Let me clean these dishes." My dad nodded and went to the living room. I think Uncle Jaeseok is the one who died 3 months ago. My dad ever mentioned about his friend's death but he did mention the name. So I think it's his name. I could clearly saw my dad was frowning when he mentioned his friend's name.

After finishing the dishes, I walked to the living room and found my dad was watching a movie. I slowly sit beside him and smile. "Appa, tell me about uncle Jaeseok." I smile. I don't know why I feel curious about him. I just want to know.

My dad sigh before he told me about his friend. "Lee Jaeseok is one of my closest friend. He's always been there when I needed him. He would come and help me even when at that time he was busy with our business. He's a true friend. I remembered when the day you were born, he came with his wife and their son to see you. He's the one who comforted me when the nurse told me that your mom couldn't make it after you were born. I cried so hard that time." He wiped his tears as I rubbed his back. "Uncle Jaeseok has a son?" I asked. "Yeah. His son was your age but older 3 months than you. He even took a picture of you and his son when you're still a baby. I don't think you remember though. When I lost your mom, uncle Jaeseok is the one who take care of me. Until that one day, he got brain cancer and he didn't survive. I've lost two people that I adore so much. Your mom and Lee Jaeseok." My dad sobbed as I hugged him.

"Shh shh. It's okay appa. It's okay to cry." I patted his back. My dad was strong. I knew it. He's been through a lot of hard times but he still can put a smile on his face. I broke the hug and told him to rest. He nodded and weakly went to his room.

Once my dad's figure was disappear from my sight, I suddenly remembered about dad's story. My tears started to fall down because of the facts that my mom was died when I was born and my dad's friend. I silently cry until I fall asleep on the couch until the next morning.
