Chrysalis's POV
It had been three hours since Rosie and Max were born, but I couldn't stop holding them. They were so perfect! Sombra wouldn't even let the doctor go near us. He would hiss and growl like crazy as I continued snuggling them. "So tiny and cute! I was so worried about you two while you were being born, but that doesn't matter now... does it? heehee, so amazing! I still can't believe it! My precious babies! So sweet and innocent!". I whispered. Sombra watched over all of us. I felt pure, motherly love as I gazed into their eyes. I knew I had to protect them. I always have, and I always will. I then sighed happily, "So perfect...". I said as they slept. they began to wail softly not long after. "Oh nonono! Shhhh...". I whispered. I recognized their wailing, then I asked, "Somby? Can you get some baby formula please?". Sombra nodded and dashed out as the babies continued wailing. Their wails didn't bother me, they were so sweet and pure! They were music to my ears! I held them close to me as I continued to calm them. I smiled the whole way through. Then Sombra came in and gave the bottles of formula to me. Rosie and Max guzzled the formula down in moments! After they ate, Sombra helped me burp them. Then Rosie and Max snuggled into my fur and sighed softly. Rosie's murmuring snores were so soft you had to strain your ears to hear them. On the other hoof, Max's snorting was loud enough that you didn't have to strain your ears. At all. Fortunately he only did it from time to time. Sombra was incredibly tired after staying up for the past seven hours. I noticed him dozing off as he gazed upon us. I held in a laugh as he yawned, nearly falling asleep. I felt bad for him. He stayed up for so long just to prove his love like he has many times. I smiled a bit, then I put a sleeping spell on him, just to put him out of his misery. As he slept, I laid him next to me. He put his hoof under the pillow as I put his cloak on him as if it was a blanket. I then carefully put the twins in the middle of us as they continued to sleep. I then got comfortable, dozed off, and fell asleep.
