Scarlet's POV:

-14th of April-

So many people... so many people around my father, my dead father that is now laid in the coffin. My mother is hugging me and crying on my shoulder and my brother is in front of me with his head down and his eyes are blood shot. Amber and Niall are here too to give me their supports.

Most of the people here, I don't have any knowledge of, most of them I don't even know how they knew my dad.

His death was really strange. It's a mystery to me, one that I want to solve out.

The priest is talking but honestly, I'm not hearing a thing, I'm too busy in my thoughts.

The day my father died, we were having dinner as usually, he was acting all weird, and then suddenly he started sweating, his face turned red and his breathing got a lot faster than normal. My mother started getting worried and our first thought was that he was having a panic attack. We immediately called the ambulance and when we arrived at the hospital the medics ushed in. We waited about three hours to have any information about him. The news were not good and the doctors said that "probably", he died because of a heart attack.

I don't believe what they said, his death couldn't be from a heart attack, at least that's my theory.

The funeral is over and as I am walking away with my family and friends, I feel someone staring at me. I look around and see nobody, maybe it's my imagination playing tricks with me. I look away and continue walking towards my car, but I have this feeling deep down that someone is watching every move I make.

"Scarlet, honey is everything okay?" my mother ask me. What a stupid question to ask, I just got out from my father's funeral of course everything is not okay, but I know she wasn't talking about that.

I look at her and just nod my head. We got in the car and speed off back home.

 -5 months later- thursday-

The last five months, I've been very off of everything. I didn't want anyone near me. I missed 2 months of school. My mom sent the principal a letter and informed him of the situation I was in. He understood and sent his condolences. He said I could do the exams from home and I was very grateful. Amber and Niall, sent me by e-mail all matter in all subjects. Without my two best friends I would be screwed. I'm not talking only about school. They were always there for me and still are. I can't thank them enough for that.

I decided I would go back to school because it's my last year and I really want to improve my grades. Maybe going back to my old life will do me some good. I need to interact with new people after being 5 months closed in my bedroom. School start tomorrow and I have to admit, I'm kinde of nervous. Some of my colleagues probably know that my father is dead because I doubt teachers haven't talked about that nonetheless that's not my big problem right now. I don't give a shit about what they think.

I'm currently in my bed and it's almost 7 in the afternoon. That's all I've been doing for the past months, just laid in bed, thinking of my beloved father and the memories I have from him. I can't find strength in me to just get up and start living life like I used to.

I hear a vibration on my bedside table and immediately pick up my phone. Niall sent me a text.

*Hi there. How are you today?*  I read. Niall has sent me a text everyday and so has Amber.

*Hi Niall, I'm better now. Thank you!*

*Are you going to school tomorrow?*  He replies 10 seconds later.
