"Make up your mind Micheal! Do you love me? Or Eleven?!" I yelled through the phone with tears streaming down my rosy cheeks "Y/n, I-I d-don't kno-" "that's always your excuse! Tell me Micheal, are you mine, or hers?!" "Y/n, please I-" "you know what? Forget this!" "Y/n! Wait!-" before he could explain, I hung up the phone, I smashed the wall phone back onto its place on the wall and slid down the wall, I fell onto my knees, and cupped my cold hands over my eyes, my mom and dad were out on a "private" vacation, so, I had the house to myself for a few weeks.

You see, I have-well, had a boyfriend named Micheal Wheeler, we've been best friends since kindergarten, along with my other friend William Byers, Micheal and I got together in the fifth grade, I know, we're too young to be together, too young for love, honestly, that's bullshit. I've loved Micheal ever since I met him, he's such a sweet boy. Our relationship was perfect until the day Will went missing, at first it was a normal day, I was at breakfast with Mike and his family, until Mrs. Wheeler got a call from Mrs. Byers asking if Will was here, I looked at Mike in worry and confusion.

"Don't worry Y/n! He's probably at Dustin's or Lucas' " he smiled, I nodded and laid my head on his shoulder, I notice Mike's sister, Nancy, roll her eyes at us, and of course, being siblings, they started arguing. "Both of you stop arguing!" I whispered to them, "shut up Y/n" Nancy said jokingly "don't tell my girlfriend to shut up!" Mike yelled at her "girlfriend?" Mrs. Wheeler asked with confusion "I-I mean my friend....that's a girl..." Mike tried to cover up "no he doesn't, they were making out all morning-" "shut up Nancy!" Mike glared "What? It's the truth! You're in love~" Nancy teased, Mike rolled his eyes "says you! Look at you and Steve! What were you two doing together?" "We were studying" she glared "remind me what you were studying again, human anatomy?" He asked as he chewed on his breakfast, I almost choked on my milk trying to stifle my laughter, Mike looked at me and smiled, Nancy gave us both a dirty look.

We were searching Mirkwood, looking for Will, by 'we', I mean Mike, Lucas, Dustin and I, we thought we found Will but it turned out to be a strange, almost bald girl, Mike brought her to his basement, the place where all our memories were, she told us she was hiding from the "bad men", she only seemed to talk to Mike, which was strange, she hasn't even said a word to me.

We decided to dress her up to disguise her, she has on a pretty pink dress, green, white, and yellow tube socks, white converse, and a wavy blonde wig, at first Dustin put the wig on his head which made me giggle. When the girl, which is numbered 011, or what Mike calls her, El, came out from changing everyone stared at her with wide eyes and their mouths wide open, it was still strange that Mike decided to take a random girl to his basement and dress her up like a doll, but I just ignored the feeling of hurt when Mike stared at her like she was the most beautiful thing in the world-or even the universe.

"Y-you look pretty-" Mike looked back at me and saw the hurt expression "good, pretty good" he 'corrected', I just shook my head and sighed....I guess I should've thought about that this was a red flag, but I thought nothing of it because I knew he always loved me....but that's only what I thought.

Because of this mess, because Will went missing, because Mike met a strange girl, my life turned upside down. Because. Of. One. Strange. Girl. My whole life, and love life, was disappearing.
