Darkness. Darkness had surrounded us. We knew not of anyone but ourselves. Just eight souls, floating in existence, doing nothing but existing. Najick, the Orange soul. A highly adaptive soul, who went into anything as a brute force and came out on top. Makaline, the purple soul. The soul was strong, manipulating themselves out of anything before it started. Bekintol, the green soul. A calming soul whom cared too much to fight for themselves. Polina, the yellow soul. It came out and fought for Bekintol when things became rough. William, the red soul. Powerful, leading, and extremely strict to not only others, but themselves. Evanill, the dark blue soul. Brutally honest, never told a lie, and didn't keep secrets. Samintol, the light blue soul. Forever waiting, watching, and listening. Then there was me. I could not see my soul. But the others could. They said it was a bright light in this darkness. Void. It's what we decided to name this place of darkness. Multitudes of millennas past, yet there was still us. Unwavering, unmoving, patient, us.
It was loud, and extremely startling. There was a shattering snap in our lovely silence.
No one spoke a word, but we all watched each others souls closely with intent eyes of interest. Our interest soon became horror, as our souls were covered in darkness. Bekintol was terrified, as a strange noise escaped them. We gathered around them as they soundlessly shaked their now physical body. It was at this point that we realized that we were actually tangible, leading us to explore this new found 'soul coverer' as William deemed it. We all had varying levels of interest of the new strings of stuff attached to the top of the 'covers'. We had rounded tops, with thin, yet bulky middles underneath the tops. Our middles faded as they went lower. We looked and poked eachother. We had sharp, pointy things sticking out of the hole in the top of our 'covers'. We now saw out of the spheres on our tops but was below the stringy stuff. There was large 'slashes' in our middles. We felt as those are important, and made a silent agreement to only brush over each other's 'slashes'. We figured that we were different, as we all had different amounts of spheres on our tops. As this new knowledge hit us, we were blinded by a sudden strike of light.
We screeched, and the sound scared not only ourselves, but eachother.
