I was in the kitchen, wearing a white gown. Liza helped me bake a cake early in the morning to surprise our little Prince. I finished decorating it, and went over to the black smith, having to go through the town in the cold December air. Derek's birthday happens to be on December 8. I opened the door to the blacksmith. None of the employees are here, considering it's 5 AM. I went to the back, to find Hero polishing a chest plate, too small for both of us. I sneaked up on him, and messed with his hair, making him reflexively duck. I giggled as he fixed it. "You know to not mess with the hair" he whispered. "Morning to you too, hun" I answered pecking his cheek. "So, how's the armor coming along?" I asked. "Just about to finish, actually" he answered. I put my head on his shoulder, with my arms wrapped around his chest.
We're all outside Derek's room. Hero had put up an armor stand in his room with the armor on it, and covered it with a white cloth. Waiting for him to wake up. We heard shuffling, and a gasp shortly after. We made our way to the ballroom, where we had served food, drinks, and the cake. Guests haven't arrived yet, except for Jim. Derek's boyfriend. Speaking of. He sprinted up to me, asking if he was awake yet. I nodded, and said that he'll be here any second. The moment after I said that, he was here. His (E/C) eyes beaming with excitement. I thought he'd be wearing the armor, but he does know that we don't wear it, unless for training or if we need to. Jim sprinted up to him, handing him a small gift and giving him a hug. They then sprinted off to Liza, who's also Derek's play friend when no-one's around. Sorta like a baby sitter in a way.
The guests lined the walls, including Steve and Alex, while me and Derek were fencing. I put on my iron armor, that was lined with a few diamond patches, and Derek had put on his matching armor. I let him win a couple times, then picked up my game to give him a bit more of a challenge. Which I ended up winning. He is new to combat after all. "Our queen has won the match!" Beth called out. "Oh, what's this? A new challenger approaches!" she continued. I looked to where she faced, seeing Hero, with his armor, and the sword I made. "Up for it?" he asked. I was quiet for a moment, then grinned. "Bring it" I answered. He charged at me, which I managed to dodge, and block his next swing. He jumped back, and tried again. He did that a couple times, until he started with close combat. "Someone's a bit rusty" I taunted. "Oh please. I'm just warming up" he responded.
We kept fighting. Some people gasping as I was nearly hit, or when I nearly hit him. I could hear Alex and Beth cheering me on, which made a few more join in, until the whole room was chanting my name. I found a frame to make Hero lose his balance. Which I took, and he's now on his back, with my sword pointed to his chest. "I win" I said, smiling. The crowd applauded, as I helped Hero back on his feet. "You sure you're not rusty. Or did I just get good?" I asked. "I'd like to think the latter" he answered, and pecked my lips, before going to wherever he was. "Any other challengers want to face me?" I asked the crowd, and of course. The duo approached me. "How about a 2 to 1? You did beat a god after all" Alex said. "Challenge accepted" I answered, and jumped back as far as possible. I felt a tug on me sleeve. I looked down to see Derek. "I wanna challenge my cousin!" he said, I looked back up at the duo. "Steve. It seems you have a challenger yourself" I said. "2 on 2 then?" He asked. I looked down at Derek again. "Challenge accepted" he answered. "You heard him" I started, getting ready to fight. "Challenge accepted"
